who's chime??

Chime is my atla OC! She has tons of lore to justify her existence starting centuries prior to the period she lives in, but essentially Chime is a little airbender girl and a distant descendant from an ancient Avatar.

Centuries ago, her long lost ancestor secured a friend with the mission of keeping register of the world as it was at the time, as a backup if anything ever happened to the Avatar. He did, and so his lineage lived hidden from the world, observing and preserving each culture as it disappeared from everywhere else.

As too much information to keep physically was archived, they developed a series of codes to shorten the information that only this family knows how to decipher. They hide it in accessories that can be worn and carried easily, and can be read when light is projected through them.

Every member of the Chodrak family has only one child and is sure that only two Chodrak exist at a time. They never left their hidding spots for centuries, until Chime's father was attacked by fire nation soldiers in one of his trips and never returned. Chime got anxious and left her home, being the first Chodrak in the wild since the clan was formed. She thought there was no point in archiving all the information if no one was ever able to learn it.

Her goal is to find the Avatar and tell him everything she knows, so everyone can enjoy the knowledge. And maybe she can help him feel less alone by knowing he is not the only airbender in the world.

Chime is shy and easily scared, but her determination usually makes her overcome her fears. The things she value the most are being kind and curious, and she loves people that are too. I don't think you wanted a answer this long but i will take any opportunity to talk about her, sorry! :)
