The Nega-Muddlefoots are heavily implied to be cannibals. (And so is Negaduck)

While I was analyzing the episode "Life, The Negaverse and Everything" for my analysis on Negaduck's character, I noticed something I hadn't even questioned before.

Right after Darkwing dismisses the possibility of being in an alternate reality, Nega-Herb and Nega-Binkie call for Nega-Tank -- likely to make him be part of Nega-Honker's birthday celebration out in the backyard.

Look at the horrified expression of the two kids' faces. Right after this scene, Nega-Tank says to Darkwing "It's mother and father. Hide!" Its not "WE have to hide", its YOU (Darkwing) have to hide. They both knew what was going to inevitably happen.

As Nega-Herb and Nega-Binkie lead Darkwing -- whom at that point in time thought was Negaduck -- out into the backyard, the following scene is shown. Keep it in mind for later.

Once the Nega-Muddlefoots (excluding Tank) realize that Darkwing isn't actually Negaduck, they don't choose to outright kill him as one would expect. No. Instead, they tie Darkwing to a massive grill spatula and place him over an equally massive grill.

The Nega-Muddlefoots had no idea Darkwing would be there that night. They already had that huge girl and huge spatula at their disposal.

So the reason why Nega-Tank had told Nega-Gosalyn to go get help... was because he knew that when his parents and younger brother realized that Darkwing wasn't Negaduck...

They were going to EAT HIM.

OH MY GOD?!??

This also leads me to believe that the heads shown previously aren't necessarily fake...

Moving onto Negaduck, his scene shows up in "Just Us Justice Ducks, Part 2" when Darkwing uses an intercom to trick Negaduck by imitating a woman's voice and announcing "Flowers for Negaduck!", to which Negaduck yells back that he hates flowers, causing Darkwing to quickly double down and say, "Did I say flowers? I meant… skulls! Skulls for Negaduck!" —which Negaduck is then shown to LICK his lips (or beak I guess) in a savory manner.

I'm pretty sure Darkwing meant it as in something to give as a gift rather than food, but Negaduck sure didn't think of it that way.

I hadn't seen anyone mention this before, so here I am -- mentioning it. Do what you will with this information.

(It goes without saying you can just interpret it as a gag with no seriousness behind it. To each their own.)

Can you tell us the character sexuality?

I already answered this question before if you’re referring to the main five of the story, which you can find here, but I’ll also tell you that I didn’t write the characters — at least not the main five — with any sexualities in mind because that simply wasn’t going to be the main focus of the story.

Do I have my own opinions as to what they could be? Of course I do. But if you or anyone else has a different take for them, that’s also completely valid. There is no right or wrong answer for any of them, honestly.

The only character who canonically outright struggles with something regarding their sexuality in the story is Micheal — because I wrote him to be that way. And for those who are wondering, Micheal is canonically gay in Inkbound.

As for the rest of the characters, you can put your own headcanons to them. Just know that some of them are in fact queer one way or another :)

I really appreaciate that Michael in fact loved Minnie (NOT romantically) but it's clear that she was also important to him whatever friendship/platonic love or connection he felt towards her.

It's weird and messy due to the situation, whole internalised homophobia ect. And Mickey's mental state surely wasn't good and he probably flet like a liar and broken toon, because he had to be in relationship with her (it was what creators wanted)

But I really like that she clearly was important to him. I would say that it's just "diffrent kind of love". And Iike that even though it's not romantic it's still shown as important and as actuall love.

Idk maybe I'm looking too much into this. Im aromantic and I just feel good seeing diffrent kind of affection, realtionships and bond that isn't shown as worse or less in comparason to romantic love.

I love people close to me diffrently.. and it's important for me, but deep down there used to be thoughts that I was loving wrong or not enough. That I wasn't giving as much as I should.

And when I look at Micheal in your comics and see his struggles and problems and read more about him, I feel kinda seen..?? I look at Michael and see that he wasn't loving Minnie less, but loving her to the fullest. He loved everyone to his fullest to the point of sarifiting his OWN life.

- his dreams

- his true self

- even soul

He wanted to keep the appearance to let others be happy in their "perfect world" and he would let it happen.

And even thought Micheal isn't aromantic like me (idk if he's gay, bi, goofysexual- I don't really care) in some way I see part of myself in him. I see him and I don't feel guilty or bad about myself. I feel understood and relived.

I wanted to thank you for creating such an important and complex individual in your comic. It's really important to me and geniuently makes me feel better and understood.

I’m glad that you are able to identify with Micheal in that sense, and I’m so happy you were able to get so much out of how I chose to write him and his relationship with Minnie. I’m also happy that people understand that Micheal did in fact love Minnie — just, as you said, differently.

I strive for all of the characters I write to be complex in various aspects, and if even one person can identify with them — it’s all worth it.

“The Family Portrait”

Here it is — finally finished. Little fun fact, I was inspired by the original prime family portrait seen in the show.

While I don’t think any of the Negaverse versions of the characters considered themselves as a family (rant on that coming soon), I do think they had their own twisted dynamic of one. With that being said, I really wish we could’ve seen more of Nega Launchpad and Nega Gosalyn.

Have you ever met or known someone that you looked at and thought “woah, they would make a great parent one day” because of they way they interact with children around them and just seem so content and affectionate and loving towards them, but those very people actually end up being pretty bad parents to their own children? Not abusive, necessarily, just… definitely not as good.

Micheal would be kind of like that.

He’s better at being an uncle than he would at being a father.

I was wondering about how you mentioned that the toons lean to their animalistic side more. Does that apply to all toons? Like with Oswald and Bugs, would they be able to jump higher than other toons due to being bunnies?

I’m really interested in this, because it brings funny scenarios in my mind lol (love your work btw!)

So, not all the toons have these instincts — only some of them really retain certain aspects of whatever animal they were assigned/born as. This is something that is relevant to my story, particularly when it comes to the Animaniacs, Boris, and — to an extent — Tails.

There are a few other examples here and there that are a smaller and easy to miss.
