there was only one person hana was excited to see at the event, and that was her brother. she could use him as a safety blanket, so she could avoid people. he was running late though like he always did. she sighed deeply as she sat alone at the bar. she sipped on a virgin margarita while she waited for him. it was getting kind of lonely until she felt a light tap on her shoulder. it made her jump, but she turned and felt a smile spread on her face.

 Rydel strode proudly down to the cove, sure she managed to slip into the pink shade while having a slight accent of red on the color of her jacket but it was the red underneath that was making her feel more comfortable. Something about the color had been a weird stress reliever. With a smile on her face though she didn’t even start at the bar, she started with food; even if it was just basic things laid out to grab. Shoving a strawberry in her face and rolling her eyes back she smiled. “These are amazing! You have to try one!” 

hana had gone to the event with high hopes. she was sure that she wouldn’t meet people like she had originally thought. she had been mostly wandering around aimlessly, enjoying virgin cocktail after virgin cocktail. she still had not talked to a single person there. she sighed tightening the red bow that was holding her hair out of her face. she approached the food area as she began to feel a peck of hunger. a smile spread on her face as someone finally spoke to her. she looked down at the fruit. “ really? i haven’t had a good strawberry in forever. ”

hana is not always the best when it comes to parties. she is not one to be comfortable around big groups of people. she told herself though that she needed to try and get out more. and with it being valentine’s day, she figured there’d be enough people there so she could try and make friends. since there was a theme, she had dressed in a mostly black outfit, save for her skirt being patterned, with touches of red. her hair was tied back in a red bow, and she had a red clutch gripped tightly in her hand. she nervously made her way to the bar and took an open seat. her eyes darted absentmindedly around the crowded space.
