At Cascade Handcrafted Log Homes, we choose only the best materials — premium Canadian quality logs according to the Timber Products Inspections (TPI) grade specs, including Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir — because better logs return their value in thermal performance, maintenance, resale, and aesthetic quality. Back to December 2015 when we started on "The New Jersey Project."

We were getting set to build this gorgeous Western Red Cedar hybrid home for a wonderful family in the state of New Jersey. We sourced logs from a local private property owner in British Columbia to Selectively Harvest Western Red cedar.

These same logs found their way to New Jersey where they will stand in this beautiful, luxury home for potentially hundreds of years!

#ThrowbackThursday to Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Throwing it back to one of our favourite builds, over 15+ years ago a handcrafted log home in Jackson Hole Wyoming, framed by those iconic winter mountain views.

The Western Red Cedar, the clean lines, the precision joinery, this home was built to stand strong in every season, and winter in Jackson gave it a backdrop that still stops us in our tracks.

A timeless build in an unforgettable place.
