Introducing: Cyberspace!

Cyberspace, or Cyber for short, is a very special guy! They're one of two full-sized special edition Furbys I own, or one of three if we're counting Neon the Kid Cuisine Furby Buddy. Year 2000 Furby is one of my favorite special editions, and I'm so lucky to have come across this one!

They were listed locally on Facebook Marketplace, new in box, for a good price. I met up with the sellers the next day and learned that they had had this Furby since they bought the Furby brand-new, and Cyber had been in storage all that time, and had moved cross-country two times!

I'm keeping their box for display, and Cyber has now settled in happily amongst my other Furbs. I tested them today, and they worked right away! They told me their Furbish name is Noo-Loo, which means 'happy.' :)

Had a dream instead of AI everyone was using their Furby for everything. Like "Did you ask Furby?" and "I just had Furby write it for me." I almost got hit by a Furby driven bus.

Furbies count as animatronics, right? Well, now they do because I said so. Plus, I don't want to exclude robotic toys because that's just unfair, especially for ones as successful as the original Furby. Plus, much like some of the other bots I've drawn with this type of fanart, they're one of the many things where my opinion was shaped by exaggerated claims and creepypastas of questionable quality. Long story short, Furbies are amazing when someone isn't constantly yelling in your ear calling them creepy.

This Witch's Cat is certainly not gonna be the only one that I'll draw in this style. I'm gonna go through each generation of the 90's Fubry and draw my favorite color. (Please don't tell my Church Mouse that Witch's Cat is my favorite from gen 1.) I may draw other types of Furbies, Furby Friends and even their more recent counterparts, but I can't guarantee that. These pieces are being done rather sporadically as I get ideas, lol.

In addition to knowing furbish, all furbies know the language of dance. This is the furby equivalent to sign language and lets deaf and hard of hearing furbies communicate.

The japanese furby pedigree paper lists furbys special ability as “furby dance” so I think you’re right!

Are furbies born knowing the language of dance or is it just part of furby culture that everyone is taught it?

I like to think that furbies are just really good at teaching lots of languages to their children.

Why, you may ask? Because Furby babies, furblets, and furblings are ALL INCAPABLE of dancing on their own! Meaning that they are taught to dance by their parents 🥹❤️
