in light of The News, i want to remind y’all that people in red states and people in demographics harris lost still deserve empathy and support!!! voter suppression and gerrymandering are very very real and many people in red states still support preserving our rights, even if their state or demographic doesn’t reflect that. i keep seeing people saying that people in the south don’t deserve hurricane aid or to be able to afford groceries because we’re in states that went red. now is not the time to make things worse for marginalized people living in the south. now is the time to consider how much worse things are about to get for us and act with empathy. remember that there are poc communities, queer people, immigrants, and women in the south that are about to be hit hard by the policies we may see over the next few years.
