Hello! This is the anon who asked if anyone had a wanted connection with a Blake Lively FC. Were you interested in plotting?
Yeees! Do you have anything specific in mind?
âI guess it wouldnât be so bad-as long as itâs not rocky. My stomach isnât too good with the whole rolling waves type thing. So then are you uh new to around here orâŠâ Sam said trying to make conversation.
That was probably more information than what he was interested in hearing from a complete stranger. âOh-- no, Iâve lived here for about five years now.â He replied. âIâm Christian, by the way.â He said, offering his hand to her.Â
âBrooklyn Heights huh?â Sam said trying to hide the condescending tone in her voice. Not everyone in that neighborhood could be a snob right? âRiver taxis? I guess Iâve seen them but I couldnât think of any reason to use one-although I guess it could be fun. Have you?â
Ignoring her rather condescending tone, Christian looked out the front window before addressing her again. âI tried it once. It was fun,â.Â
âEh, that actually might be a possibility. Iâm around kids all day so Iâm always picking up flus and shit, you know? Welp. Better get the DayQuil.â
âExactly. You work with kids? Oh man.â
Sam instinctively grabbed the cab door before the man asked her where she was headed. âOh uh-just across the river. Iâm sorry about snapping at youâŠif thatâs anywhere near where you need to get, sure hop in. Itâs why cabs were made with more than one seat right?â
âBrooklyn? Great.â He smiled down at her and jumped in after her. âWeâre headed for the Brooklyn Heights,â Christian told the driver, then leaning back in the seat. âHave you ever tried one of those river taxis?â He asked the woman seated next to him, a friendly grin upon his face.
Well, you're just a flirt with a capital F, aren't you?
;)
Have you joined the mile high club?
Hell yeah. And recreuting. Want to join me, greyface?
âSeriously?! Iâve been trying to hail a cab for the past fifteen minutes could you please take the next one?â Sam said before turning back to her phone call âOh my god I am so sorry-no no I wasnât talking to you. Can I call you back in five?â
It was in times like these Christian had wished heâd bought a car already. He was going to do that one thing after coming home from work again.âErh-- sure, you can have it. Wait! Where are you going? Maybe we can share?â
âThings get complicated, but I say just let it go,â Oliverâs words slurred into each other, getting more and more jumbled as he continued to ramble. He honestly couldnât remember what he was even talking about, but if he didnât speak up then he would just be sitting there alone with his own thoughts and he couldnât have that. âPeople obsess over the stupidest things. âOMG my boyfriend looked at this girlâs butt,â âOh no, my Christmas card for mom didnât get sent.â Like just push that shit aside!â The beers were finally beginning to get to him.
âTell me about it!â Christian nodded shortly after taking a sip of his beer. âGirls are way to complicated, always asking you to do all kinds of shit. And butts are nice, I want to look at them. Who doesnât? I bet girls look at my butt all the time.â
Yeah, I was stood up. âBut it wasnât really mortifying. He was just a stupid Tinder date. If anything, I probably saved myself from living an episode of Catfish or becoming a skin suit.
âStoop up? Sorry to hear that. What are you doing on Tinder anyways? I thought that was just for guys like me.â He joked.
I took a three hour nap today and Iâm still fucking exhausted. Iâve been walking around the kitchen and I donât even feel like a fucking human anymore. My eyes hurt.
âSure youâre not sick or anything?âÂ
He wasnât really quite sure if leaving or coming back to the city felt best. Hanging out at the nearest bar certainly made him feel at ease. While he was there, he could just as easily try to catch someoneâs interest and maybe end up having some company the next few days before he was off to work again. Taking a sip of his beer, he gazed through the bar, eyes searching for that special someone.Â
