She couldn’t help but to chuckle at the female’s reaction and the excitement that never seemed to have faed from her cheerful disposition. Heeyeon laughed to herself while chopping up some meat in preparation to cook them for the both of them. Glancing to check the younger woman, she bit back a laughter as the girl started to sing. Humming along, she playfully wiggled her butt while wiggling her brows. “Good good good without you boy without yoooooou~!” Placing the meat in a bowl, she leaned against the kitchen counter. “Park Setting-nim, is everything ready? The only thing we need now are the ramen. Heeyeon-nim’s stomach growling so badly right now...” And as she talked, she made an excuse to take a bit of the fish snack she had opened before the cooking session, practically leaving them everywhere for emergency cases.

She’s honestly crawling there by herself because she had too much curiosity as a little kid – the fact that she’s trapped in that so-called wonderland is happening because of her own fault. As they say, Ahn Heeyon–curiosity can kill the cat. This is the moral of the story… get it?

Actually, would you be surprised if I said I’ve never watched Alice in Wonderland? It’s just... I never thought of watching it, I don’t know why when it’s so mainly known towards other people. (` watching him explain, she beams a bright smile and lets out a chuckle.) But that’s deep! What you said was really, really deep actually -- hold up! (` puzzled by the fact that he called her Ahn Heeyeon instead of Hani just like other people, she wrinkles her nose and pulls a silly face. Only her members and the staff called her that, not a common thing towards her.) I just asked how she fell, but since you explained, my question might be deemed as invalid as of now. Thefuneral has been a sordid affair – too much press trying to push their way inthe premises, to get some footage of any sort. Dirty and disgusting and toomuch, making it difficult for anyone in attendance to truly say their goodbyesproperly: it was the sort of thing that required peace and quiet and calm, andthere was none to be had there. Just wolves, fighting over the scraps theycould get now – the sad, pale faces lined up for the ceremony that should havebeen tiny and private, intimate, only with Hani’s friends. It seemed to be anultimate offense to her memory, and Tzuyu wished there was a way in which she couldget back at them for this. But there was nothing.
Shewas alone on her way back to the dorm, too small and quiet and white againstthe black of the limousine that was supposed to take her to the dorm – anattempt from her PD to make all of this less of an ordeal. She appreciated theintention, though it fell rather flat. But, at least, it gave her privacy, and,all on her own, she could finally think of Hani how she last remembered her –cheerful and full of life, the kind of girl that could light up the entire roomwith just her presence. The kind of girl she’d wanted to be, if she was to be honest,though Tzuyu could never quite hold the light like the other did – sheinevitably ended up withdrawing when there was too much of it, to protect herdark corners. In contrast, Hani had been much like the sun: the light came from her, and not to her.
Herthumb swipes over the screen of her phone, as she searches for a picture thetwo of them took together just a couple of weeks ago – matching smile and heartstickers on their cheeks, no care in the world reflected in their eyes. Perhapsshe should’ve paid more attention then, seen the gauntness of the older girl’scheeks and realized she was feeling unwell, but what did she know? She was justa child, after all, when it came to so many matters. She hated to admit it, butit was the truth in the end.
Tearspool in her eyes, hot and impossible to hold back, burning her skin on theirway down as they crash onto the screen, but she doesn’t wipe them – it would befruitless, really. She’s always been a crybaby, but never for serious matters,and she knows that, since she’s started, she’ll have no way to stop any timesoon.
