Hey, I just now found the whole bidding post and wanted to try and get myself a writer to draw for. But the file says that I have to be 18 or am I just misinterpreting things?

Three Ways to Start a Story
For some writers, beginnings are the hardest part because they set the stage for the rest of the story. They need to be interesting, informative, and give the reader a taste of what they’re getting into, making them important and stressful to worry about. It never helps that there are near endless ways to start a story, and each method may not be a useful as another depending on what kind of work is being started.
So, here’s three (out of many) ways to start a new piece of work, with a small explanation of each method and a few pitfalls to avoid.

It’s said a lot in writing circles that you can’t please everyone, which is true. You can’t please everyone.
But I also think it’s important to note that whatever you do, you will please someone. Someone out there will enjoy what you write.

Sorry but I was curious as to how the bidding works? Do the artists who picked first have more chances of getting their first choice? Do the writers pick which artist they want? Is it randomized?? Thanks for organizing everything and all your work btw!!!
There is no need to apologize! You’re more than welcome to ask questions :D The pairing is arranged by me. Authors offer their summaries which artists will then bid on (listing their top ten choices) and with that information, I will pair people together who are willing to work in artist pairs, or who are not, and try to get everyone one of the fics on their list. It is not first come, first serve.

Each of our participants must choose their top 10 summaries, and fill out the form following all the instructions provided within.

Registered artists, I know there have been a lot of posts and reminders about signing up to be an artist, but if you have already filled out the form and received the confirmation email (and decided to join the Discord server), then you are all good to go!
Rest assured that you can sit tight and just enjoy the ride until bidding in January :D Only heed the warning of sign-up deadlines if you have NOT filled out the form.
If you are also signed on as an author, then you can take a look at the summary submission form and fill that out. Otherwise, just feel free to relax and hang out on the server, should you have a Discord.

Hi! Sorry for the dumb question, but I've seen some people already saying things like "i got my first choice in the hankcon bb". I thought summary bidding and pairing confirmation was in january? Or is there a different hankcon bb?? I'm confusion! Thanks for answering and organizing!
That’s not a dumb question at all! :D
No worries about pairing or bidding already being done here. You’re correct that it’ll happen in January. I assume it was probably just the other BB that is finishing up soon ^_^
