I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious Ambiguity.

Sorry this is a little late; I was busy yesterday fangirling over SNL 40. I can't even put my feelings about it into words, other than that it was simply perfect. I mean, Jane Curtin hosting Weekend Update, am I right? I actually got to see Jane, Laraine, Dan, Garrett, and Bill live!  I just wish that Gilda could've been there. Can you imagine if it were her playing Roseanne next to Jane?

They took me to Warner Brothers and made a little screen test and asked me why I wanted to be a movie star. So of course I told them I didn't want to and after they laughed and they said, 'Of course you do.' I said, 'No. I don't. I don't really – this is just fun. You're kidding around, right?'

Debbie Reynolds

Ever since I was little, I have loved Debbie Reynolds. I first saw her as Grandma Aggie in the Halloweentown movies; she was really the only reason I watched them. Years later, I got into Star Wars and discovered that Debbie was the mother of Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia). I have since seen a lot more of her movies and learned more about her. I often call her "the classiest woman in the world." I can't really explain why I love her so much; I just do. Debbie Reynolds is my favorite person in the world, tied with her daughter Carrie Fisher. Although they are two very different people, both of them have gone through some very difficult times but have managed to come out of them stronger, and funnier, than ever. Last Thursday night, Turner Classic Movies was playing some Debbie Reynolds movies, which was a gift for me after a stressful week of school and finals and trying to get caught up after being sick a lot. My dad called me around 10 that night, later than usual. He asked how school went, and I told him that it went alright and that TCM was playing Debbie Reynolds movies all night, so that made it better. He then told me that the reason he had called me was to make sure that I knew and that he was watching it, too. 

Tonight Carrie will present the Life Achievement Award to her deserving mother Debbie at the SAG Awards. The only thing that could make it better is Carrie bringing her dog Gary with her.
