(rough timeline I got so far: Corbeau left/ran away from kitakami when he was pretty young and ended up in lumiose and a few years down the line he heard or found out he’s got a niece and nephew. He went back and met the siblings, he learned about their parents faith(death or death-beats idk) so he decided to pay for their education at blueberry academy and kept in contact with them!)

The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.

Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.

So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.

Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.

For those asking for context on the Rore art, I have very little as my parents don’t remember this project at all, but it’s from some school project I did in approximately first grade that involved rhyming. I did flip/stack the tiger art for the post. Originally, for some reason, I drew the roar backwards, which is kind of cute and I should have left that as-is. I really lost steam by the dinosaur drawing.

For those saying it’s fake, idk what to tell you except it’s not and I promise I have much better and more efficient ways of getting attention on the internet than making fake childhood art. I’m a little honored you think I could come up with something so whimsical at age 29 though

comparing the very first page of my Stardew comic (from 2023) to the latest page (which coincidentally feature the exact same characters).

I kinda miss how loosey-goosey the first chapters were just in terms of the illustrations, but the cohesion of the later chapters work better for the overall story, I think. Maybe gotta find a middle ground.
