A little advice: if you’re going to do something wrong, do it right.
Stacy's curled up on Hannah's couch with a glass of wine. She's staying over the other woman's house while her house is being fumigated. When Hannah walks in the room, Stacy smiles. "Hey. Do you always work so much? You should take a break. Come relax."
Moving to sit down on the couch, Hannah stretched her back as she looked tiredly at Stacy. “I work whenever inspiration hits. When it does it can lead to some intensive working sessions. I like it though. Better than when I don’t know what to do and I know I have to create something soon. I don’t have great moods when that happens.”
She then stretches out her arms and shoulders. “God, I’m tired. I didn’t realise I’d been in the same position for so long.”
Stacy smiles and places her wine down, moving to kneel behind Hannah, one leg on either side of her. “Well then…let’s see if we can do something about that, yeah? It’s the least I can do after you offered to let me stay here.” She gently digs her thumbs into the muscles of Hannah’s shoulders. “God, what were you doing, throwing paint in there?” She digs in a bit harder, not enough to hurt, just enough to begin to loosen the muscles. “Let me know if I go too deep, okay?”
Easily moving to let Stacy sit behind her, Hannah offered up no complaint over the offer of a massage. Truth be told she’d been wanting one anyway. The first touch had her moaning in relief and pleasure. She immediately blushed when she realised what it sounded like. Covering it up with a laugh, she replied, “I don’t think that’s possible but okay. It feels amazing. I think I was just bent down too long trying to get the bottom half of the canvas looking the way I wanted it. Played havoc with my back though.” The only movement she made was to gather her hair up and sling it over one shoulder to get it out of Stacy’s way. “I’m not the only one talented with their hands, it seems,” she said quietly before biting her lip to minimise the volume of the next audible moan.
❝ Oh don’t worry. I tuned half of them out anyway. I’m Stacy. I’m the middle one…I think. It’s nice to meet you. ❞
“Oh, the middle one,” Hannah said having absolutely no clue as to the order of the triplets in question. “It’s nice to meet you too. So, if you’re the middle one, that makes Becca ...?”
Stacy's curled up on Hannah's couch with a glass of wine. She's staying over the other woman's house while her house is being fumigated. When Hannah walks in the room, Stacy smiles. "Hey. Do you always work so much? You should take a break. Come relax."

She then stretches out her arms and shoulders. “God, I’m tired. I didn’t realise I’d been in the same position for so long.”
Stacy's lingering somewhat awkwardly at the back of the party. Becca and Jo are both much more social than she is and she admittedly is about ready to go home when she catches Hannah's eye. She walks over and offers her hand. "Hi. Judging by the blonde hair and blue eyes I'm gonna take a wild guess here and assume you're part of Debra's family?'
Truth be told, Hannah had been a little taken aback by this gathering. She knew that Becca was part of a triplet but to actually see it was quite something. Spotting the differences was easier for Hannah as she was used to reading people and while the sisters might be identical, they weren’t in personality. Hannah had been feeling a little sorry for the one sister that seemed to be feeling left out. She kept glancing in her direction and she’d been about to go over to her when she found that the woman had, had the exact same idea.
Taking the hand, she shook it warmly as she smiled and answered the question with a light laugh. “Yeah, I am. I’m Debra’s sister, Hannah Nielsen. Which sister are you? I think I missed the introductions earlier.”
Debra's knocking somewhat insistently on Hannah's door, and when she answers, she's pushing her way into the house. "A little birdy told me you've been holed up in your studio for the past few days so I'm here to insist you take a break."
“You know how I get when I have an inspirational moment. I’m busy, Debs.”
It’s only a part lie. She has been busy trying to work but it wasn’t due to inspiration.
"Hannah? Do you have a moment? I have something I want to show you."
“Sure,” Hannah said with a slightly concerned frown on her face. “What is it? Should I be worried?”
"Hannah," Debra's practically bouncing as she knocks on her sister's door, "open the door and let your sister out of the cold, will you?"
Moving over to the door, a little slower than necessary, Hannah opened the door with a grin on her face before stepping aside to let her sister in.
“Oh, come on. You seasoned Northerner you. It isn’t that cold.”
"Well, aren't I lucky?" She said with a grin as she opened her door. "Not every day I get beautiful women knocking on my door unexpectedly."
Jo felt a bit of color rise to her cheeks as she gave the woman in front of her a small smile. “Well only as lucky as I am to have such a charming neighbor. I just thought I’d pop over and introduce myself. I’m Jo Danville. My daughter and I just moved in a couple houses down.”
detdanville:
The first thing Jo noticed was the other woman’s smile. A smile she couldn’t help but return. She took the offered hand and shook it firmly. “Nice to meet you Hannah. And my house only looks nice now because I haven’t fully moved in yet. Believe me, I’ll be lucky if I can keep it half as beautiful as this place. The light in here is gorgeous.”
“Well, I guess that depends on an individuals interpretation. One person’s mess is another person’s art work.” Smiling she looked around to see the light coming into her house and it made her happy. Nodding she turned around before stepping back to let the woman in.
“Do you wanna come in and look? I have coffee.”
She's just going to wrap her sweater more firmly around her. "And I thought New York was bad. What is it with you northerners and the cold?"
“What’s with you southerners and the heat?” Hannah countered with a grin and a giggle. “Do you need some help warming up?”
detdanville:
“That depends,” Jo murmured, grinning at the other woman despite her shivering. “Are you offering?”
Hannah had considered teasing Jo some more but she didn’t like to watch her shiver like she was doing. Going over she pulled Jo into a hug and started to rub her hands up and down Jo’s arms and back. “Yeah, I am,” she said with a smile. “I think we might have to get you under some blankets. You do know what they say is the best way to warm a person up, don’t you?”
Jo makes her way quickly across the street as soon as she sees the car leave. She knocks lightly on the door and waits for her neighbor to answer. "Hannah? Can I come in?"
Opening the door, her mood is immediately lifted by the sight of Jo. Pulling the door further open, she waves the other woman in with a smile and a touch to her shoulder as she passes Hannah. “Of course. Is everything okay?”
detdanville:
“Yeah, of course. I just wanted to check on you. I know the look of federal agents when I see them. Are they giving you any trouble? Trust me, I know they can be huge jerks.”
Closing the door, she let her face fall a little when she knew that Jo had known who had been at her door. “Yeah, I’m okay. It’s just the CIA. Debra used to work for them. I don’t know, it’s like they don’t believe she’s dead or something. They come round every so often and look around and ask questions and then go away. It’s the same every year.”
"Is this your sister?" Jo's studying the picture of Debra carefully. "You look alike, the two of you."
“Oh,” Hannah said - having not expected Jo to find that picture. “Yeah, it is. Or, I mean .. she was. She died. Couple of decades ago now, I guess.” She looks sad but doesn’t back away from the topic.
detdanville:
“I know,” Jo breathes, “believe me, I know, but we’ve gotta keep going for them. If we just let our lives end just because they’re gone…I don’t think she’d want that.”
“Then I’ve probably wasted most of the last twenty years. I can’t help it. I can’t .. I need her.” She doesn’t want to but her bottom lip is starting to wobble so she hides her face from Jo in the woman’s shoulder.
Hannah has baked a cake and cookies and small pastries so she has her arms full when she rings Debra's doorbell.
Debra’s absolutely thrilled to see her sister. She quickly users Hannah into the house and takes a couple of the baked goods from her arms before she drops them. “Wow. You went all out. I’m flattered, Hans. Really just you coming would’ve been enough.”
debracarter:
“Yeah, adorable’s one word for you,” Debra teased, nudging Hannah’s hip with her own. When she saw the cake, she grinned and handed her sister a box of candles. “I love you. I just want you to know that.”
Taking the candles, she quickly placed a few on the cake before looking expectantly at Debra for matches or a lighter. “I love you too. Always. Matches?”
Hannah is going to almost jump on Debra when she sees her. Hugging her tightly, she can't stop grinning over her happiness in seeing her sister. "I've missed you so much Debs."
Debra’s surprised, but hardly complaining as she returns the hug. She presses a kiss to the top of her head and holds her close. “I’ve missed you too, Hans. Is everything okay?”
debracarter:
“Oh sweetheart,” Debra murmurs, holding her sister even tighter. “I’m never going anywhere again, I promise.”
Hannah is confused as to how Debra knows what she’s been thinking but she can’t form words for a moment. Simply breathing in her sister, she lets the hug calm her before she can speak. “Good. Can’t do that again.”
“I do. My sister Leanne died a few years back. I miss her too. It’s like…this whole part of your life is just suddenly gone.” She reached over and grasped Hannah’s hand in her own. “If you want to, you can talk about her with me.”
This whole part of your life is just suddenly gone. That sentence reverberated in Hannah’s head. It was so true. So, painfully, true. Squeezing Jo’s hand, she can’t quite meet her eyes any more but moves forward to cuddle into her. “It hurts,” is the only thing she can manage to say for now.
Chloe's totally crashed on Hannah's couch. She's curled the blanket into her arms and is clutching it protectively, just like she did when they were younger.
The sight gives her cause to stand still and stare for a moment as she is transported back, in her mind. If it wasn’t clear before then it is now that Chloe is her long lost sister. Grabbing another blanket, Hannah gently draped it over Chloe - trying not to wake her.
defendxroftheyoung:
She starts slightly when she feels something touching her, but she knows instantly from the smell, a combination of flowers and paint, that it’s Hannah. “Han,” she murmurs, hand reaching out to grab her sister’s. “Stay?”
Holding Chloe’s hand, Hannah sat down on the edge of the couch and smiled kindly at her sister. Reaching over, she carded her fingers through Chloe’s hair before leaning down to kiss her sister’s forehead. “Sure. Whatever you want. Just close your eyes, little one.”
Debra instantly melts into the hug, holding Hannah close and letting out a soft sigh. “Thank you. I’m so glad you’re here, I hope you know that.”
“I know. I’m adorable, how could you possibly not want me?” With a giggle, she pulled away to star sorting through what she had bought with her - what needed putting in the fridge, what could freeze and such. “Do you have any candles?” She asked as she looked at her biggest creation - the main cake with butter icing.
