Avenger laughed, he simply said Tanuki because of her sword’s scabbard, even though it was more of a raccoon but because he was finding ways to pester her, it didn’t matter. Plus, it did work. A+ job, if he said so. His eyes looking at the Rider with a smug face befitting of being punched in the face more than once.
“Heeeh? But isn’t that the thing covering your sword? I mean, I don’t doubt anyone here asides of you are tired of me, save our dear and lovely Master for some reason.”
“I do try! Honestly, I could be given a medal for being the most useless Servant of the bunch, hell, even that Shakes guy works more than me! Dying is a good option, but with the whole ‘saving humanity’ mumbo jumbo thing I doubt they’ll let us kick the bucket quite easily.”
It was honestly tiring how the newcomers of the Avenger class made it shine as if it was the greatest thing ever, capable of burning things with hatred alone and invoking the impossible, or even running at light speed. Avenger used to mean trash, like him, make the Avenger Class be useless again!
“I know, I know. I could be of use at least as bait, like, look at me! Tattoos everywhere and such a handsome face like mine.”
“It’s actually the thing covering your face.”
With one fluid motion the scabbard comes flying into his face. Not enough to actually hurt a servant mind you, but it makes contact nonetheless. She didn’t want to give him some easy way out by actually causing damage. It wouldn’t surprise her if he were to have a ‘spell’ and pretend to black out or anything of the like. He would at least get an attendance grade for the mission if nothing else. For now she would bring the sheathe back to her side, beaming at him oh-so innocently.
His words hold true though. Useless wasn’t even the beginning of it. She’s sure if we wanted to go to the absolute limits he could always just stumble into the other servant’s way. That wouldn’t happen. The avenger was passive if anything and didn’t want to seem to make enemies. The ones that would cleave him in half again, but by their own volition this time.
“You’re screaming to be slaughtered aren’t you? The question is are they really going to waste time on it. An easy mark isn’t as thrilling as one who struggles and clings to life.”
Her amusement doesn’t seem to fade after proclaiming himself to be a stunner. She couldn’t pass judgement on such a thing, the samurai’s bias would fog her jurisdiction. After all, people seemed a lot more attractive when their personalities were pleasant. Still she wasn’t so rude as to say he didn’t have some sort of charm. He just was terrible as a whole.
“If that’s what you tell yourself Avenger. Why don’t you secure the perimeter now? I’m sure nothing will happen, so you can stand around doing nothing while we devise our next move.”
