Our other festive recipe last week is a classic from the Jello Cookbook-Poke Cake! Easy peasy, and Princess Tiger had fun decorating with the fruit. Bake a standard cake mix of choice in 9x13 glass dish according to directions. While cake is baking, mix 1 large pkg of jello with 2 cups boiling water until dissolved, then add 1 c cold water. Let cake cool 15 minutes. Poke holes in the cake 1 - 2 inches apart. Pour jello over cake making sure to cover every part. Chill for 3-4 hours. We discovered that @aquariumpacific is offering some really cool programming for kids. This morning was a live draw session on coral reefs that Princess Tiger and Mancub loved! They have a number to text questions and pictures live. Our cubs are obsessed with the ocean and have been missing the aquarium a lot. There's classes for all ages. And here's another fun Easter craft... Clothespin Chompers! Just color, cut out, glue the baby animal to the bottom part of the egg, and then glue the top of the egg to the upper part of the clothespin and the bottom of the eggs to the lower. Then when you squeeze the clothespin the baby will hatch! I'll post some in progress pictures next.
