Tidbit about Atlas. We got the results of his hip x-ray a little while back. There’s a very thin piece of metal in his hip. My Vet described it as similar to one of the metal bristles in a barbecue grill brush, very thin and narrow, about an inch long. I hate to know what happened to him before he was rescued. I always assumed he got hit by a car, but now it makes me wonder if he was truly abused. 😡 My vet said there’s no inflammation around it or abscess so leaving as is for now and monitoring is best course of action. His hips and joints and bones otherwise look perfect. Also his other tests came back negative. I can’t change the past, but I’ll make sure your future erases any bad memories you might have Atlas. I promise.
