I just saw your story about Tintin stealing the whistle and I really love it. I am kinda curious, how would Chang confront Tintin? Would it be a "yelling at the top of your lungs in the streets of London" or a "you are not leaving this room until we talk this out"? Because I don't think Chang can get through Tintin through peaceful means.

Context, this is a continuation of this post. Tintin steals an ancient Chinese whistle from a museum archive to return it to where it came from when Chang offhandedly mentioned it was stolen by Europeans. Later on the first night of Lunar New Year, Tintin comes to realise he has feelings for Chang and believes the kindest thing to do is to Avoid Him until his feelings go away - Chang can sense something is up and isn’t willing to give up on him yet.

Haddock is still pissed off at him. The argument they had in China made him reflect on their friendship. Deep down, Haddock is wondering what he would be without Tintin and decides to take Chang under his wing, part motivated by childhood nostalgia, pity for Chang, spite for Tintin and a desire for validation.

In regards to your recent tintin post I’m really curious to know how Changs attitude toward tintin changed (if at all). Like that’s definitely going to cause a rift in their relationship, especially since Chang knows in a weird way tintin did it because of him :((( definitely feel like there was some trust lost there

oh absolutely! Chang's already aware that Tintin would do something crazy for him (he did trek through the Himalayas on a dream to save his life).

He's pretty conflicted about the whole situation - on one hand, Tintin's lack of consideration for how his escapades affect bystanders is pretty disturbing, but on the other hand he does somewhat appreciate that he did return something that was stolen by European colonisers.

Tintin is also in a middle of a crisis, having just realised he's in love with Chang. He's severely struggling coming to terms with being gay (bearing in mind it's the 1930s and he was raised Catholic), all these feelings and dealing with friendships with peers is new and uncomfortable for him. After celebrating the first night of Lunar New Year with Chang and his family, Tintin distances himself from Chang, believing it's the kindest thing he can do for him.

To top things off, Haddock is pretty pissed at Tintin for disrupting Ramo Nash's exhibition, and they had a pretty nasty argument when returning the whistle.

Chang is left caught in the middle, Martine on one side dealing with Tintin's backstabbing and Tintin on the other suddenly avoiding him after committing a crime for him. Chang can sense there’s something up with Tintin and wants to get to the bottom of it, even if he’s refusing to say anything.

Snowy really wishes these dumb humans could understand him. He has a few choice words he’d like to exchange with everyone.

Rastapopoulos himself may be out of the picture, but his ghost continues to haunt those who were caught in his web.

A collaboration with @aboardthescheherazade using her OC Marlene Katz - an actress Tintin tries to save in Cigars of the Pharaoh!

Five years later and Tintin is baffled to see Hollywood starlet Marlene Katz turn up at his doorstep asking for help. Formerly under the thumb of Cosmos Pictures, Marlene became an unsuspecting witness to Rastapopoulos’ criminal activity and now the mob is after her, seeking to tie up some loose ends. To top things off, she is due to make a public appearance at The Golden Palm, a prestigious film festival. After years of hiding, Marlene is determined to get her acting career back on track, and this film may be her big break.

Tintin is highly suspicious. Chang, on the other hand, is utterly star struck, and after noticing an uncanny resemblance between the two hatches a ridiculous scheme that may finally put an end to this particular problem. It might just work, but Marlene makes the last minute decision to also go undercover, feeling immense guilt over having Tintin and Chang risk their lives for her.

While Tintin is running around in heels and beating up mobsters Haddock is away on a weekend break with Ramo Nash. Before leaving he asked Chang to keep Tintin away from any incidents and to promise not to throw any house parties.

some self indulgent concepts for a 20-something year old Chang where he becomes Tintin’s photographer. I wanted him to have a slightly eccentric sense of style to reflect his playful personality.

as my Area 51 post where Chang and Tintin are middle aged did well I was speculating on what would have happened between the “canon” timeline and them being in their mid-40s, just to get a better idea of what their relationship would be like! A Lot of background stuff beneath the cut, cw for mentions of racism and homophobia - buckle up boyos:

It was an idea I suddenly had for fun about Ryo having to "collect" his different versions across the Digi multi-verse to bring balance or stop some big evil Milleniummon once again and how it would be funny if Ruki had to join the trip but they are adults so now the concept is "two adults jumping into different timelines of the digiverse kidnapping kid Ryos".
