Before I delete this account I just wanna say... If you’re going to have kids, make sure that you’re doing it with a good partner because it makes such a difference. I married my husband because he’s the best but also because I knew he’d be a great father even if I wasn’t around. Just the pregnancy itself is really difficult and it’s worth having a partner that will support you all the way. My husband who already does more than his share of housework, has taken on even more. He’s been educating himself and coming to classes with me so that he can best support me and raise this child. It is such a blessing to have a partner like him and I hope everyone gets this same experience.

Those DNA test sites should genuinely find a way to discount or subsidize prices for Black people because there’s an obvious, completely not our fault reason why we don’t know our origins

^^^also because they tend to not have enough data on Black people anyway, so when you DO spend your $200 (like I did) you get back a bunch of vague generic shit that they switch up on you from time to time.

Offering discounts to Black people would make the service better.

Not to be debbie downer, but I’d be careful with those DNA sites. As tempted as I am to try them, the terms of service for some these sites allow them to turn your DNA over to the law enforcement which….is sketchy to me.

I love the community at my local masjid but we get the craziest khutbas. Today I was told that worship and warship are close because sometimes you think you’re worshipping but the devil is actually making you go to war. Also something about how the egg basically becomes magnetized to attract sperm that I didn’t quite understand.

There was a house we saw on the border in Texas that was 300k, if the same house was in the Bay it would have been 2 mil easy. I’d prob buy some land in Texas if I could afford it. Even if you just had the mobile homes as a temp investment while saving to build your own home would be a good idea
