This is a run-through of some new features I worked on last week on vacation. Two huge sources of inspiration are both the Souls series and Mount & Blade. Your attack depending on camera rotation has been in the project since the beginning, but now that I have a target lock-on function, it feels more controllable. Adding a dodge mechanic and a perfect block has got to be my favorite to work on. I made brand new animations for enemy stuns, and added a damage multiplier for these states. Despite creating the system and all of the animations, the knife surugi is the only enemy I managed to perfect block for this video lol I've been having so much fun playing with these features, and I'm excited to see how they develop as I keep working on the Sitenu project.
