One of my photos copied out of my book Chopped Harleys. It's an Arlen Ness Shovelhead taildragger which I photographed in Sitges Spain in the mid 1990s.

This was my Shovelhead back in the mid 1990s.

Bay Area Diggers belonging to Arlin Fatland of Two Wheelers Denver. After a late night drinking beers at Arlin's house he still got up at dawn to drag these bikes out of storage and wash them down so I could photograph them. Top guy!

Hey. I just wrote a thing about the new 500cc and 750cc harleys. I don't know if you've seen them yet but they've been getting a lot of abuse on facebook. I just posted my response on tumblr. I don't know if you'll agree or disagree but I've made up my mind. It'd be cool to hear your thoughts.

I agree with you. My first motorcycle was a Harley-Davidson and it was a 125cc Trail Bike which they built in Italy in the 70s after AMF took over Aermacchi. It was a crappy little 2 stoke but I was happy it had Harley on the gas tank and a Stars $ Stripes No1 logo! I haven't read the info on these bikes but I guess they are to be built for the India and China markets.

Happy 75th Birthday to Sonny Barger who I first met 20 years ago at his Freedom Party at the Mountain House in the hills above Frisco. I gave him a signed copy of my first big Harley book 'The Classic Harley'. A few years later I shot portraits of Sonny outside and inside the Hells Angels Oakland Clubhouse. Years later I got a signed copy of Sonny's book so we're even! That's me on the right at a book signing that Sonny did in London.
