@jesterress liked for a starter!
This so called âmallâ was simultaneously fascinating and terrifying. There were so many people packed tightly into a massive building which housed so many stores. If she had the ability to return home she was certain that no one would believe her if she told them you could shop for shoes while eating a cheese covered pretzel after trying on perfumes. It was all too convenient; she was quickly realizing that people relied heavily on convenience here.
Anna preferred her clothes â the mismatching items she had stolen from her victims combined with animal pelts â but she was realizing that her shoes were not up to par. They were perfect for walking through the forest in the winter, but not so great for walking on concrete for miles. She wasnât one to shy away from pain, but if it could be avoidedâŚÂ So here she was, at the âmallâ with a small amount of money to spend on shoes.
She was hopelessly lost; there were boards posted that held maps of the place, but she couldnât read. Not that she even knew the names of any of the shops that could possibly be selling shoes. Frankly, she wasnât interested in walking around this place for hours trying to find a store in such a crowded place. Once again she would have to ask for assistance â something she was getting quite tired of doing.
There was a young woman with strangely dyed hair sitting on a nearby bench. She was reading something â good, she was literate â but appeared to be in a chipper mood. That meant she would help, hopefully. Anna approached her without second thought.
âIs there a store here that sells affordable shoes?â
Harley was no stranger to newbies approaching her for all sorts of reasons; directions, general inquiries, clothing-- which seemed to be the topic of conversation with this rather intimidating looking woman. Good thing Harley wasnât easily intimidated.Â
Looking up from her phone at the woman before her, then down at her feet, then back up at her again. She wouldnât say no to the stranger, knowing full well how difficult it was here when you were new. So she put her phone back in her pocket, stood-- wow, she was really tall, Harleyâs 5ft fuckinâ 4 ass thought to herself-- and plastered her sweetest smile upon her lips as she stood ready to assist.Â
âSure, lady. I know where ya can go.â It would depend on whether she wanted to buy some shoes or âbuyâ some shoes and if she chose the latter and Harley chose to look the other way, that was no oneâs business. âThereâs a place just this way,â She motioned for the other to follow as she led her toward what she considered a cheap and affordable shoe store. âYer new, right?â She continued, glancing back over her shoulder to make sure the other was behind her. âI can tell. Ya been here long? Anâ whatâs with all the animal stuff?â She made a note to leave Bud and Lou at home should they meet again. âIâm Harley, by the way. Pleased ta meetcha!â
