Someone on Twitter said it best when they said "My religion is not your fashion statement" & I feel like this beautifully sums up my distaste for what I saw at the met gala this year. This isn't the first time they've taken something and appropriated it, they apparently have done this in the past with Chinese culture. The Met Gala always assumes that it's mass audience are not smart enough to pick up on the subtle cues, signs & distasteful symbols shown each year & it honestly disgusts me. I was going to post a picture of Mother Mary & include some sarcastic joke or something witty to get my point across,  but i honestly found myself unable to commit such a heinous and unnecessary act.  As a society and a generation we need to be really careful about blurring the lines between what is sacred & what is sacrilege. If we can't respect our fellow woman & man for believing what they believe and not disgracing that so blatantly and unapologetically then idk how we are going to be expected to grow, care for the world, the environment, the political systems. Basic respect and a moral obligation seems like a fair thing to want.

Literally used to love hitting up this place in the Meriden mall for their amazing cookies, shakes & now that I'm a grownup--iced coffees!! 😜😛😜 The name escapes me now but it used to be called blue cookie! My Mom even knew the owner quite well & he would give me free cookies every time I would visit. Such nice memories! & deliciousss goodies!!! 😉😆😊💕☕🍩🍫💖👍
