One second you guys were steady on the radio tower.
The abyss hit the fucking needle.
The tower rattled you grabbed the closest thing. You saw Steve fall. He gripped the edge you heard Dustin screaming his name "STEVE!" Your heart pounded in your chest tears pricking the corner of your eyes his fingers slid off the edge.
Jonathan had grabbed Steve hauling him up pulling him to safety you and Dustin ran to him laughing with relief tears in your eyes. "I thought you were toast man." Dustin chuckles. When you guys pulled away Steve kissed your forehead. "Never do that again" you warned "I'll try not to" he chuckled.
In the abyss you kept close to Steve. You thought if you left his side that was it. It, it dead.
Steve held your hand. "It'll be fine. We'll defeat that bastard. Get home...have some "alone time" and live a perfect life. As heroes."
"Alright Superman" you said with a tearful grin. He ruffled your hair affectionately. "And if anything happened to you Hop would kill me so...your my priority."
Will told you guys Henry was alive and the playful attitude fizzled into nothing. Joyce stayed with Will as you got closer to Vecna...Henry...001 whatever he's called.
You all stopped in your tracks when the surrounding walls began to crumble. And legs of this creature pinned to the ground like a massive spider. You all ran Steve gripped your arm keeping you close.
The creature trapped you in with its spindly legs it wasn't the first time you thought you were a goner today.
A boulder hit the creature in what you think was it's face falling away from you and your friends. It was El she kept it occupied for a while. Steves grip was hurting your arm but you had bigger things to worry about.
When Mike said "shes fighting Vecna." You panicked your little sister is fighting Vecna. Steve cradled you close as the others explained the plan weaken the mindflayer, weaken vecna meaning helping El.
Nancy bravely volunteered to be bait for Vecna. You were always envious of Nancy she's such a brave and strong woman she was one of the most amazing people you knew.
As Nancy shot at the mindflayer you all ran. You watched as Nancy bravely fought off the creature and you steve and Dustin stabbed it from underneath in the hope to weaken Vecna. Dustin and Steve shouting "This is for Eddie!" You remember Eddie a good friend a complete idiot but he was one of the best guys ever.
Slimy liquid fell from the creatures wounds falling over the trio.
You three ran as the creature hit the ground watching it die you Steve and Dustin hugged in relief. "Thank god" you whispered. You knew it wasn't over yet but you were one step closer.
Everyone made there way to Eleven. You were the first to her hugging her tight pulling her head to your shoulder gently. "I love you. Are you ok?"
El nodded "is Everyone else ok?" She questioned. "About as ok as they can be." You both let out a slightly relieved chuckle. Before Nancy cut down Holly from the disgusting flesh like cages.
Everyone did their best to free the children Steve cutting one down reassuring the child cleaning his glasses "your safe buddy ok? We're here to get you back home." You felt your heart flutter your boyfriend was just incredible. Derek threw himself into Steve's arms "I gotcha. You're ok." He reassured the young boy.
Vecna started coughing up blood which caught everyones attention and made Derek grip steve tighter. Steve made sure to put himself infront of you and Derek keeping you out of harms way.
You saw the anger in Joyce's eyes. Henry had caused her and her loved ones years of pain and suffering. Everyone around had a story. How Vecna or the Upside Down has ruined their life. Joyce pulled down her axe before repeatedly hitting the vines of his neck a hit for each of us. A hit to make all this go away. You knew it never would, but its the closest you would get to it going away.
It was finally over years of pain and suffering for everyone. You all watched on in fear but more relief than anything.
Everyone made sure the kids were safely in the van. Dustin reporting back to Hop.
The count down began. The Upside Down would be destroyed in less than an hour. Robin and Steve continuing their usual teasing which put you at ease. Well thats till you went through the gate tires punctured followed by soldiers pulling everyone out of the van one by one pushing you against the van.
Vickie and Max watching on as you all got manhandled. But you couldn't see El. Where was your little sister?
You all smirked at the thought of her escaping. Thats when you saw her by the gate Mike pushing towards her.
You saw your dad screaming pushing to get to your sister you used all your strength to reach her but you couldn't. "EL" you cried "EL"
Before you know it...she was gone. Gone with the Upside Down and everything else that had caused you so much pain but made you who you are today.
You broke down in tears she was gone. Steve held you. The gate was gone. You were shaking uncontrollably you couldn't deal with it she was gone and you didn't do anything.
About 18 months later. You'd adjusted to being without El but you hadn't forgotten her you and Steve found a nice apartment. Steve got a job as a teacher. Baseball at that and occasionally sex ed.
You, Steve and Robin sat to support the kids at graduation and Steve looked hella fine in that suit. You saw your dad hearding Mike to graduation you and Joyce had saved him a seat beside Joyce and infront of you, Steve and Robin.
When Dustin was announced
"And now it's my greatest pleasure to introduce someone who has truly excelled during their time here. Ladys and gentlemen, give a warm welcome to your valedictorian, Dustin Henderson." Steve stood up clapping you beside him Steve whooped as Dustin stepped up. He gave a speech that everyone related to everyone listened intently as he explained his experience in Hawkins and the bad and good that came, talking about how we're divided jocks, the nerds, the freaks and through the chaos he made friends he would have never expected to have made, and how we've all grown and changed together for the better.
When Dustin revealed his Hellfire lives! shirt saying "screw school, screw the system, screw conformity, screw anything and anyone trying to hold us back and tear us apart, because this is our year!" Everyone wooped and applauded Steve's voice louder than everyones there is support for his friend.
You, Nancy, Jonathan, Robin and Steve sat on the roof of WSQK catching up. Steve trying to get everyone to admit they feel a little nostalgic. "I love teaching these kids though, the miracle of life. Not accidentally starting it. And i control grades" Steve grins
"And why am I sure you go pretty easy there?" Nancy queried. "I have a strict A policy. B if you’re a real knucklehead." We all chuckle.
"So whats your movie about then. Capitalism, cannibalism?"
You said feeling incredibly confused.
"Its anti-capitalist" Jonathan explained "the consumer. A metaphor. The more she eats the hungrier she gets."
"I think I get it" you smiled.
Nancy dropped the bomb that she dropped out of Emerson. "No way" you all gasped.
"I took a job at the herald...its a trainee position not too fancy. I don't know I was just sick of school and thought I'd try the real world."
"Still full of surprises" Robin smirked. "I do actually kinda miss something about this place. I miss this. Us. Hanging out. I miss you guys. I like my new friends. But it's..."
"I don't think it ever will be" Jonathan added.
Tears in all of your eyes.
"Jesus!" Steve explained. Snapping you all out of it. Steve wrapped his arm around you.
"We could meet up. Once a month" Steve proposed
"Somewhere neutral." Nancy put forward.
"Whats between Massachusetts, Hawkins and New york?" You ask.
"Philly? I have an uncle in Philly" Robin gestured between you all.
"With a basement?...and boiler room?" Jonathan asked.
"Yeah" Robin replied confused.
"Its perfect! Y'Know the hideout where she burns all the bodies." Jonathan exclaims.
You give your stepbrother an odd look.
"The consumer" Jonathan chuckled.
You let out a chuckle in relief.
"Right. Robins uncle house. Philly." You ask.
"We'll drink. We'll reminisce and make Jonathan's anti-capitalist cannibal movie." Nancy pitched.
"Perfect." Steve exclaimed
"Starting next month." Nancy finalised.
"Im in" you all said one after one raising your drinks.
"To nothing ever keeping us apart." Steve announced.
"Including overbearing significant others." Robin adds.
"Morgages." Jonathan adds.
"And kids." Robin adds oncemore.
They all look toward you tucked under Steve's arm.
"And everything in-between" you said uncertain.
