Found this on twitter and its confirmed that this will be Wilhelm's new haircut for s2. They are going to give him a more crown like appearance cuz long hair is apparently will be unbecoming of the crown fuck Kristina for making my child suffer and molding him into someone he isn't

Ok I’ll keep ranting about the hair analysis because this is also a possible interpretation for Wille’s haircut that I hadn’t thought of

This haircut resembles Erik’s haircut more (something that just occurred to me after seeing this post) and I suppose Erik had to have it short to uphold a more “professional” image as Crown Prince. So it’s logical to assume that now that Wille is in that position they’d expect him to do the same (but also it could subliminally mean that the queen is expecting Wille to be LIKE Erik even though he isn’t (and it could also be a way for her to avoid processing her grief but we won’t get into that now))

I also can’t stop thinking about the possibility that the haircut is done to avoid people thinking of the floppy long hair they saw on the sex tape and immediately associating it to Wille

I totally agree with what you’re saying, the hair change is probably to make him look more “professional” and/or to make him look less like “the guy from the sex tape”… so it makes sense

But I’m certainly going to miss his long hair, especially Simon running his hands trough it. I hope we’re getting more of them and not just the monarchy drama.
