10 Tips to Being Happy

1. Smile at everyone you make eye contact with.

2. Volunteer your time/money to help others.

3. Talk to people who are alone/homeless.

4. Eat chocolate.

5. Eat fruit.

6. Look at tasks as opportunities instead of chores.

7. Forget about lost costs. If you paid for something you don’t ant to do anymore don’t do it. Better to waste money than waste money AND time.

8. Let your body rest. If you have to miss a day of work or school you can make it up. Listen to your body.

9. Stop using social media in public. You don’t need to snapchat those fireworks, just enjoy them.

10. Yoga.

11. Balance personal time and social time. It is very important to have a lot of both.

12. Always tip service people. If there’s no tip jar or section on the bill it means no one ever tips them and they’ll appreciate even a dollar so much.

13. Be sincere. If you don’t mean it, don’t say it. If you say it, mean it.

14. Live in the moment. It’s healthy to plan for the future, but know that things can and will change.

15. Don’t have high expectations. Expectations leave room for disappointment where open-mindedness leaves more room for excitement.

i have a coworker that is refusing treatment for lung cancer because he doesn’t want to put his three daughters and wife in debt for the rest of their lives. 

he is literally choosing to die of a treatable disease because the debt of treatment would be such a burden on his family.

so yeah.. tell me that the american healthcare system isn’t broken.
