Interesting article about repourposing clothing, and American women's general knowledge of how to do this over the years.
As I am ironically repurposing some old T-shirts! Photos to come!

Nail polish fun! Vacation starts tomorrow⌠And Iâm loving these colors together -Reenie
made this today with some old paint samples. i've had them cut into the little triangles for a while but today was the day i put them into the pattern you see and used some rubber cement to glue them down. i plan to get a frame at some point and add it to my gallery wall. i love all the color and the white space i left between each triangle.

Three Days Til June!
Only 3 days until Creativity Month begins! Just want to remind everyone to somehow sign what youâve done so we know who did it.Â
Also, good news, weâve been highlighted by Create Stuff on their Twitter account! You can go in and pledge to create with your own twitter account as well and they will follow you.
Hereâs my first go at creating. I wanted to do something quick and everyday. Weâve got this massively overgrown hydrangea bush in our yard and as I lay on the deck in a lawn chair I was struck by the way it was moving in the wind. Something I really love about the Midwest, but particularly Nebraska, is the way the wind blows vegetation around⌠especially long vegetation. Itâs so magical, who needs waves crashing when youâve got that?
I titled it âA Ruined Compositionâ though because actually the way the light was hitting it in the frame was beautiful and seeing in on the screen I wished it was actually just an image, not a film. You live and learn, how much more everyday can you get than that? Alas, this film shows it all.. well all except the part where I coughed and accidentally moved the camera (aka my phone) because I just figured out how to edit!
Cheers,
Reenie
Here is my creation for the day. Granted it didn't take more than a few minutes, I find that these little collages are a great way to get the creative juices flowing. I make them on the website polyvore.com. I think technically the website is supposed to be about fashion (each image has a list of all the products placed in it and where the product can be purchased). As a community, however, polyvore.com has a lot of artists, it's really quite impressive what some of them can create.
Try it out!
For even more inspiration, check out my pintrest board "Crafts and Things". Here in Minnesota it's rainy and gross, the perfect day for crafting! So get comfy with a movie and start crafting!

Calling All Creatives!
Calling All Creatives!
Hello friends! I recently became aware of 30 Days of Creativity which is a global social initiative encouraging people to create stuff (anything) every day for 30 days in June. The globe is pretty huge, but my friends and myself are a lot more manageable and hey, I think weâre pretty creative!
This blog shall be a platform for my friends and myself to showcase our creations in June. These creations can literally be anything! As 30 Days of Creativity encourages, these creations could take 3 minutes, 30 minutes, but not more than a day.
Be as strict or loose with the âone creation per dayâ rule as you like. Personally Iâm going to strive for each day, that being said I have a lot of travelling and weddings to attend in June, so weâll see! Who knows who youâll meet when creating on a flight layover right?
Share! Iâm certain our little platform will produce creations we do want to share with the world, in which case, feel free to use the hashtag #DOC on twitter or email your work to [email protected] and they will re-tweet you pin you and all of these other verbs that would have meant nothing to us 5 years ago.
GO! Donât hesitate! Youâre brain is a muscle. When you exercise it it gets stronger!
