Developing a relationship with Quran

Alhamdulilah i am starting to improve my daily life with Quran, i normally use to make time for it sometimes or maybe finishing it once every month. Hoping to change that in shaa allah and aim for maybe 3 times a month or a minimum of 2 times a month. Remember me in your duas, hope this also inspires you to develop a special link with the KalaamuAllah (Quran) It has truly changed my perspective in life and guided me into great heights. May Allah grant me the ikhlaas to put this into practice.aamiin

Surah Fatiha protects one from the anger of Allah. Surah Yaseen protects one from the thirst of the Day of Judgment. Surah Waqi’ah protects one from poverty and starvation. Surah Mulk protects one from the punishment of the grave. Surah Kauthar protects one from the enmity of the enemy. Surah Kafiroon protects one from Kufr at the time of death. Surah Ikhlas protects one from hypocrisy. Surah Falaq protects one from calamities. Surah Naas protects one from evil thoughts.

So I asked: ‘Who is he?’ They said: ‘It is Umar bin al-Khattab.’ So the Prophet (salAllaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said: ‘If I had not known of your sense of honour and concern I would have entered it.’ Umar said: ‘How could I be jealous of you O Messenger of Allaah?’”

Q: “How does one perform sujood ash-shukr (the prostration of thankfulness)?” Shaykh al-Albaani (rahimahullaah): “It comprises of one prostration, and none of the preconditions needed for prayer are stipulated for it. So it is like sujood at-tilaawah, they both have the same ruling. Neither of them have a precondition such as being in a state of purification, facing the qiblah, making the takbeer, making the tasleem, and so on. Rather, if he is surprised by some blessing, he prostrates immediately the way he is and praises Allaah with whatever (words) he can for that blessing that He gave him, out of thanks to Him. Likewise if he recites a verse of prostration from the Book of Allaah (‘azza wa jal), he prostrates immediately, whether he haswudhoo or not, whether he is facing the qiblah or not, without making takbeer al-ihraam and without making any tashahhud or salaam.”
