“Was it a ‘Toddlers and Tiaras’ kind of thing, or did she just want you to have something to do?” He asked, twirling Salinger as the song came to an end. He let go once he was sure Sal still had his feet under him, giving the boy an overly dramatic bow.
“What if it’s any and every nose he sees?” Gunner asked as he straightened up. “It’s bad enough he’s been putting his hand over people’s mouths, this is harder to play off as a cute antic.”
“What’s Toddlers and Tiaras?” he asked as he finished off the dance and leaned in to give Gunner a swift peck on the cheek. “Thanks old man. Told you, it wasn’t that bad, right?”
And as agreed, Salinger grabbed a glass of water and started to head from the club. “Well, I mean in that case we’ll go full blown ‘my body my rules’. Teach him a little autonomy and while Im at it I’ll show him how much fun picking your own nose is.”
"Oh, my sweet, innocent child," Gunner said, pulling Sal closer and patting his head gently. "Don't you worry. I'm going to teach you everything you need to know about horrible reality tv."
The kiss on the cheek made him smile, and he let go of Sal slightly in order to smile at the boy. "It was an excellent dance, Sal. Good to know that one of my boys can be my plus one, if I ever need one."
He followed after Sal as the asset left the club, chuckling softly. "Can we just teach him to blow his nose? No picking involved?"
