Sam: Then it's settled. We can go out, I would like that too. I can bring something on other days too, and we can eat together on the campgrounds. Lunch could be a regular thing.

Grizz: It is. Yeah. Me too, Sam. You don't have to do that all by yourself. I can do that sometimes too. Maybe I'll bring dessert the days you bring lunch, or something, too. It could be. It will be.

Grizz: I'm almost at the diner. Are you close?

Sam: Yes, you. That sounds good, I'm on my way. I'll get the next one. The next meal. What do you usually do for lunch?

Grizz: Oh wow. I'm flattered. I would like that, too. To get to know you. Great, me too. I'm glad you asked honestly, I didn't realize I was hungry. You don't have to do that, but I won't argue with you. Oh, it depends on the day really. Sometimes nothing, sometimes I bring something, sometimes I eat with the kids. But...Going out would be nice. With you.

Sam: I could meet you somewhere. If you want. I don't have any plans either. Want to talk about with you? Anything, everything, nothing. Have you eaten dinner?

Grizz: Yeah, that would be great. I actually haven't eaten yet, do you want to meet at Mom&Pop's? I'll buy. You...Really? With me?

Sam: Yeah, really. I would like that too. What are you doing right now? Yeah, but it's alright. Nothing to be sorry about.

Grizz: Good. I'm glad. That you want to, I mean. Right now? Nothing, really. I just finished up some homework. I don't have any plans for the rest of the night. Still, being tired sucks. Anything you want to talk about?

Oh boo, how’s it feel to be a Scrooge? I suppose I’ll forgive you, and repay you for the delivery with something new I’ve had held back behind the counter for you. To repeat, that’s a yes. I’ll be here still in 30. One day I’ll have a husband to make caffeine runs for me. 

Excuse you, I think that depends entirely on perspective. You say I’m a Scrooge, I say I’m saving a life. Knowing you forgive me, though, just makes it all better. #blessed. There’s been something you’re holding back? Okay, I’m definitely hitting the gas pedal a little harder now. What is it? No, wait, don’t tell me. I want to be surprised! You’re right, one day you will. Maybe sooner than you think! Then again, in order for that to happen, you’d have to actually leave your shop every now and again. Go out. Meet people. You know, something other than just manifesting one.

I hoped it would be. Yeah, I’m still at camp. So I’ll see you soon. It sounds like you know a lot of really important things. A lot of important skills in emergencies, and just life in general. That sounds like fun, but definitely tiring. It’s just been me here in the library, working on a program to get some new books. It’ll be nice to see you.

I’m glad I could confirm, in that case. Yes, you will. I’m on my way now. Thanks for the compliment. I don’t think I would say I’m expert level or anything. But, my parents taught me a lot. Well, my dad. It was kind of his thing, and I guess after so many years it just became mine too. I’m pretty sure he took me camping before I could walk. I do enjoy it though, don’t think I don’t. I just...Find it all really peaceful, I guess. It sounds like you’ve had a tiring day in a different way. That sounds really cool, if anyone can make it happen I’ll bet it’s you. Yeah? It’ll be nice to see you too. We’ve worked together for a while, but I think this’ll be the first time we’ve hung out together.

I’m pretty into gardening, sustainability...All that. It wasn’t terrible, just tiring. Me versus twelve 9-10-year-olds in flag football wasn’t the best idea I’ve ever had, I don’t think. Oh, the joys of inventory. It’s a good thing I had such high hopes for this fabric and it’s living up to every one of them, otherwise this long night could end up feeling like an even longer one. I will, however, need coffee and green tea injected directly into my veins, stat.

I wouldn’t say boring, I just think they take the anxiety and added stress from things. Do you just ever sit and wonder if there is an alternate version of us in another universe doing something completely different at this moment in time? Like, they could be an athlete or president of some country, and your life is just completely different?

I swear, I’m not inebriated or stoned. My mind wanders sometimes, please tell me I’m not the only one. Does this even make any sense?

I’m...Not even sure where to begin with that, if I’m being honest. I’ve had similar thoughts myself. And, somewhat more frequently lately. I can relate. It makes perfect sense. Was there anything in particular that triggered this particular train of thought? Or, were you really just thinking?
