Austin was born to a family that lived in the trailer park and grew up to rent out his own trailer in the same park. I'm open to siblings, particularly sisters, that Austin has always taken care of. When he was younger, his family needed him to keep track of things at home because all of the adults were busy and he still does everything that he can. His mother was under 18 when she had him, his father was shit and all of his siblings have different fathers. All of them are absent too and Austin never took any of them seriously. At least he was the only kid his mom had before she was ready for one. I'm up for planned and unplanned siblings. The youngest (NPC) is a brother that's a child and he was planned. His mom was empty nesting and missed having children around, so she had another one. Austin thinks his mom can be a little shortsighted, but he's more than willing to help her out. He's always there for his sisters too and spends most of his money on them.

At the same time, he takes on as much as he can for the Krakens, as someone that truly believes in their meaning. He's not hoping to go to jail or have to throw himself in front of violence, he will do so if he needs to. As far as he's concerned, if someone has to do something negative it should be him. He's protective of the Krakens, like he is at home with his blood family.

He got with the Krakens because growing up, he watched the violence around him and wound up in more than one fight.

With the rest of his time, he works, hoping to save up enough to get his family out of the trailer park. Most of his money goes into helping his family.

With others, he can come off as standoffish and maybe even mean just by the way he looks, but he's not a bad guy. At the core of things, he really does want to keep the town safe, so bullying people or being ruder than he needs to be would make that mission harder. There's no reason for him to add to the problem. He might even help you out if you need something. This standoffish quality was worse before the Krakens, before he started to feel like he was really making a difference and before he had a group of people to stand behind him if his trailer park origins became a problem.

blue sat on the steps of his run-down home. his mother, sister and daughter were inside but he couldn't stand the noise. he couldn't believe his friend was gone and now, other friends had also decided to leave the gang - to make their own. it was just too much change and loss and he couldn't help a tear spilling onto his cheek... just as someone passed. he angrily wiped it away and narrowed his eyes at them. "whataya want?" he snapped.

Austin knew who he was looking at when he walked into the diner for lunch and saw the lone man sitting with a single tear on his cheek like the real life Johnny Depp Crybaby. He also knew that he should have probably walked right by and keep to his own business, but he still slid into the opposite side of the booth anyway. The response didn't tick an eyebrow, he knew he'd get snapped at, especially if he was recognized. "Didn't know ya owned this booth, don't see a name on it anywhere. Two lone diners, just thought I'd join ya. Why not?" The answer to that was obvious, but he wasn't just going to say out loud that he saw the other man crying and that he was there so he wouldn't be alone.

“Pick your poison,” Austin said, swirling a towel around the inside and then outside of a freshly cleaned glass. He stood behind the bar, having just started his shift. His shift at the Boardwalk had just ended, as was evident by the name tag still on his shirt. He’d forgotten to take it off. It wasn’t rare for him to go right from one job to the other, it was a little less common for him to be sloppy like that. Austin was someone that did a lot, but he had his shit together. Mostly. “Cliche, I know. After a while, ya run outta fresh lines. So what’s it gonna be?”

Stepping into the comic shop, Briella's head was on a swivel, her eyes scanning the shop containing comics as far as the eye could see. Exhaling slowly she stepped towards a nearby rack, doing her best to look as though she knew what she was doing. Sensing the presence of another standing nearby, Briella glanced up with a smile. "Come here often?" Scrunching her features, she shook her head slowly. "Shit, that sounded..That's not what I meant. Allow me to start over. Hello there! I am a little out of my element here, and could use a directive or two. Is there any chance you could tell me anything about any of these?" She asked, gesturing to the surrounding comics.

“Chill out, dolly,” he replied after he caught up with the fast pace change of approaches from the woman in front of him. "That went from a pickup line to a call for help real fast. Ya good?" This was clearly amusing to him on some level, there was even a smirk on his face. "I'm here to get somethin' for my little brother, but I can tell ya that Dennis the Menace is real hot with him. What exactly do ya need to know? You writin' an essay or lookin' for somethin' fun too kick around?"

they stretched slightly, moving from behind the stand. he was thankful his shift ended, they could find a seat and enjoy the film. they headed towards the bleachers, accidentally running into someone else. “shit,” he cursed under his breath, looking down at the soda that was all over the front of his shirt. “my bad. i can buy you another pop?”

With a little free time on his hands, Austin took the rare moment to go do something for himself. He liked movies a lot, and the drive-in had some great things on, so he went there. Besides, it was easy to sneak into multiple movies, and that felt like a good way to use his money if he was going to spend on himself. He splurged on some snacks and a pop from concessions too, he’d gotten a few really good tips at the bar recently. Surprise hit when someone walked into him and he wasn’t able to save everything; he managed to keep the food upright and in his hands but the cup basically shattered in his hands with a quick pop before the liquid poured out of it and all over the both of them. He was more surprised when the person that walked into him offered to buy him another, but he waved that off. “Nah.” He was too proud for that, but not too proud to hand the other person the cup that had lost its use and needed to be thrown away. “S’all good. Looks like we both need a towel, though.”

Sliding onto one of the shaded benches along the Boardwalk, Korry pulled a cigarette from behind his ear, shaking his lighter out of the pack in his pocket. With a flick of his wrist he popped the Zippo’s top off and in one fluid motion clicked the flame to life. Gripping the cigarette loosely between his lips, the Greaser lowered his head to bring the tip to the flame, inhaling quickly before closing the lighter’s lid and sliding it back into his pocket. Glancing over, his eyes fell upon an approaching figure; one that seemed to be heading directly towards him. Shaking his head, Korry brought the cigarette to his lips once more, inhaling before calling out, “I’m on my break. Meanin’ ya got 15 minutes ‘for I tell ya to fuck off. Capiche?” Taking another drag, his eyes remained glued to the ocean on the horizon in front of him.

“Oh yeah, that so?” he retorted, not quite taken aback by the response to his presence. They were at work and if anyone like Korry was on break, he wasn’t going to bother doing more than looking up to see the basics of who was approaching. Chances were, he wasn’t recognized and if he was, it wasn’t like ribbing each other was new to people like them; they were in a gang together, not members of the Care Bear Nation. “You’ll gift me with 15 whole minutes, eh? What an honor, shithead.” He tipped his chin, then pulled a cigarette off the shell of his own ear. “I need a light, I see you got one.” The rest was gestured, denoting the connecting thought that Korry could let him borrow the lighter for a second. He’d been walking closer as he spoke, so he was close enough that if the other man wanted to light his cigarette for him or hand over the zippo, he could.

He shouldn’t say anything. It was none of Austin’s business what some random soc had to say, but he couldn’t help himself. In a perfect world, in his opinion, people wouldn’t be dying, no matter what side they were on. “I think you might want to reconsider your angle on who is or isn’t an angel if you think you’re comin’ out of this lookin’ squeaky clean after condemning a stranger to death for... what?” Rolling his eyes, he paused until he was looking at her again. “Oh yeah... because he deserved to die? So if you’re no angel, do you deserve to die too?” Socs always thought they were so pristine, all the while condemning anyone they deemed ‘beneath’ them.
