Welcome back Ptah-Hotep
Haven't seen anyone talking about it here, but vocal transfeminist and writer Tara Knight has been sent a threat from the fbi insisting that she stop speaking about "radical gender ideology" and get rid of the past 3 years of her work.
A black trans woman is getting personally threatened by the fbi for being a transfeminist. What the fuck. Hopefully this gets more reach than my usual posts so that people who are able to can support her.
Here’s her latest post about it.
[Transcript: So as you all have likely heard I was forwarded a letter from the FBI informing me that my work and my platform and everything I’ve built over the past three years has to go, um, for propagating what they are calling ‘radical gender ideology’. Um, this comes from Trump Executive order, um basically saying I’m a propagandist for domestic… september eleventh… thing. Um, I would… I— I’ll just say, point blank, short period. I have no intentions of stopping anything. Maybe to my detriment but I’ve never been the smartest one. That’s— all I’m gonna say on this.]
Just as I was writing that transcript she posted this—
[Transcript: So I was told and informed that it’s probably in my best interest to tell all of you where you can find me in the event that I get deleted because having a platform is probably the only thing that will keep… everything okay, if you will. So I will provide the links and ads to my TikTok, my Substack, my Bluesky, the like. You’ll be able to find me there in the event… y’know. Y’know.]

^ just putting this here along with the transcripts, please support her if you can
he thinks he got his whole life ahead of him 😂😂😂😂
“people pleasers are all manipulative self-martyring assholes who need to get a grip” people pleasing is a pattern of behaviour that develops as a fear response because of what has happened when you’ve failed to please others. and sure this can be detrimental to being able to have healthy relationships as an adult and it should be something that is slowly worked on over time. but let’s not pretend every people pleaser on the planet is doing it because they’re sick and twisted on purpose

TRANSGENDER AWARENESS WEEK
For transgender awareness I would like to remind all of you that your life is not any lesser for the fact that you are trans. Your life is not any less real for the fact you are trans. I say this to all but especially those who aren't where they want to be in their transition - your experiences don't mean less for the fact they are happening to a version of yourself that you don't recognise.
I would love it if, similar to our Trans Day of Visibility project, you shared with us anything you wanted. Your joys, your sorrows, your memories, your grievances, your loves, your fears, your hopes. Let me share them out, so you may be seen.
The world may try to bury us, but fuck that, you deserve to be heard.
We continue.
Currently healing from top surgery. If I’m wearing a shirt I don’t look that different from before I had if a few weeks ago. I’m going to be slightly surprised if people notice I’ve had it. But I also look and feel more like myself than ever before.
and that is what matters. Go forth and find new ways to decorate your body!
Aww, I’m so happy for you @tea-with-eleni! I’m currently battling my health insurance for my top surgery. And I guess my experience will be similar, binders work well on me. But I hate wearing them and I want to go swimming and wear tank tops and be comfortable and shirtless.
Also trans related: next weekend I’ll compete in a national martial arts tournament in the men’s category. I came out about two years ago when I was already in this club, everyone immediately accepted it and they let me compete in the men’s category at local tournaments even before starting T (my best result was 4th place). Now I’m pretty nervous about this national tournament, but I have enough tournament experience (mostly as a woman and in a different martial art) to get through it.
And fun fact: after that tournament I’ll have competed on national level in two different martial arts as two different genders. And that’s pretty cool I think.
That's more than pretty cool that's extremely cool
I got to wear drag to a school event last saturday! It was for GSA club, we were supposed to have drag competition but we unfortunately weren't able to do it. We've been really limited with what we can do in GSA by both state law and our dean, but it's still infinitely better than my old school that would never allow a GSA at all. And besides, I got to dress cunty, have fun, and see the amazing looks the other queens put together!
It may be too "controversial" for our dean, but drag is one of those things that brings together queer people of any age and gives us queer youth hope for the future. It's a true form of queer art and expression. I hope we get our official drag show or competiton at some point, but I'll be happy to just stand around looking pretty in drag until that day
no queens but drag queens ! keep standing tall and looking pretty
Wayne Static said it first on Wisconsin Death Trip:
The trans is the motion 🏳️⚧️
perhaps as a general rule of thumb you should try to live your life in such a way that the whole world doesn’t immediately start celebrating like the ewoks at the end of Star Wars when you get brutally murdered on live TV
My heart does go out to the families of the kids in critical condition from Evergreen High School who will be forgotten in all of this chaos.
There was a shooting at a Colorado high school at around the same time as Charlie Kirk was shot.
quick reminder that you're actually not obliged to feel any empathy for someone who would have described your death as 'necessary' if the exact same thing had happened to you
i hate when something violent happens to a right wing politician and every left leaning pundit and politician gets on their soap box about how "violence isn't the answer" as if the right wing ideology doesn't inherently encourage violence.
"his son just had his first birthday" they're separating families. they're attacking trans people. they're building concentration camps. they send "thoughts and prayers" for school shootings and don't enact real change to prevent others. they have stood by israel, which is bombing nurseries. they stormed the capitol and physically harmed others. and i'm supposed to be sad he got shot at?
