Missing You || Eli
Kaitlyn had this smile on her face and it wasn’t like her usual halfhearted, I need to get out of here kind of smile, no. It was nice and genuine and it got a bit brighter the more Eli was on her mind. Eli. It had been way too long since she had seen his face, heard his voice, saw that familiar smirk appear on his face. And that laugh he had, god did she miss that. Kaitlyn freshened herself up, making sure she looked good. As said, it had been a while and she wanted to look her best. Giving her blonde hair a quick toss she smiled at herself in the mirror and grabbed her things ready to see Eli.
The arrived to his new place in a shorter time than she expected. She had passed the certain place many times but never really paid attention to it at all. But it was now a place she would remember the way to by heart. She gave a quick wave to Morty, the vintage hearse she had come to love so well, “Hi Morty.” She called out to the hearse, a small giggle escaping her as she did. She made her way up to the door, the smile on her face was still present even after the walk over. Knocking on the door she called out teasingly, “Ellli, don’t keep me waiting.”
Things had been tough since the last time Eli had seen Kaitlyn. His parents had decided, out of nowhere, to move, and Eli had no choice but to go with them. It wasn't like he'd wanted to, no, because for once, he'd had an anchor in Toronto, but his parents, once they got an idea in their head, weren't easy to shake off. Moving had been a pain in the ass, and so had just living somewhere that was sun-shiney, but didn't have the sun of the girl Eli loved.
But eventually, he'd saved some money and had convinced his parents to let him move back by himself, provided, of course, that they could visit him at random times, a point that Eli shuddered to agree to, but if it meant he was back in Toronto, all was well. Not that he'd ever thought he'd think those words.
And, being back, one of the first things Eli'd done was talk to Kaitlyn and invite her over, because he'd missed her. Anyone else wouldn't have gotten those sentiments, but Kaitlyn, she was different. Eli couldn't remember what had happened before he'd left, it had been so long, and the concussion he'd suffered, that landed him in the hospital, wiped his mind of bits and pieces of his memory, although nothing could wipe his mind of Kaitlyn.
As far as thoughts of Kaitlyn went, Eli was sure she was knocking on the door, and Eli was smiling, despite the fact that his place was a mess. He'd not had time to unpack, for literally, the first thing he'd done was invite Kaitlyn over, which said something about how special she was. And how Eli felt about her, although he still had a bit of trouble admitting that to himself.
"Kaitlyn, come in," he murmured with a pleased smirk as he opened the door, allowing his girl to come in. This was a reunion, and Eli was fairly- which is to say 'obviously' and 'considerably' and 'immeasurably' and 'of course'- happy that Kaitlyn had shown up.
