a chuckle that matches her tone of wit ensues, the ‘keep finishing with the bar and throwing the rag over his shoulder before simon properly looks at the woman. hilt of palms presses against the counter, holding him up and slightly tilted, his expression snarky. ‘i bet you will,’ he mumbles, voice gruff and just as sarcastic. ‘don’t get into too much trouble. i’m not gonna be there t’save you,’

      oh the comical, dramatic outrage that paints on her features — a twist of her lips, eyebrows furrowed, and then right after a scoff that would be drenched in mockery for mostly anyone else, but in here it’s just a rare occurrence of how friendly robin swann can be, at times. “ when have i EVER given you the impression of needing you to save me ? or anyone. i’m perfectly capable of getting myself out of TROUBLE on my own ” right after she’s put herself in it in the first place.

the nights are long and the days blend into each other, unidentified and unimportant. the only thing that matters is movement. freezing cold air hisses through the car’s vents. loki’s fingers ache. heavy eyelids warp the road, lines rushing with decreasing speed as he feels something begin to pull at his consciousness. he blinks once, twice, and a third time with such force that it wipes some of the sleepy haze out of his eyes.

“Tell me about something.”

she likes this weather. it’s more in tune with her spirit, she thinks —— it gives her body a reason to be so TENSE, tightly wound around the expectation of danger. it does not make her stand out like an out-of-tune chord: everyone alive and then she, making herself at home among the dead. and him. her head turns at his request, a dull ache of her neck reminds her she’s kept herself frozen STILL in the same position for the last hour. easy to slip back into a makeshift coma, she thinks, when he doesn’t even make an attempt at looking more alive than her. “ what do you want me to tell you about ? ” a sigh — the only way she’ll ever betray her exhaustion. “ i keep dreaming about wolves ”. neck bends back, she lets her head rest, thoughts trailing off for a second. “ and statues. i keep trying myself it’s not an OMEN, i just... keep smelling something BURNING ”.

i am alive ! i promise ♥ as i’ve detailed already on my main blog, some family issues have led to me having to cover some hours at my family’s bar, which has impacted my time online and will keep doing it for a while. on top of it my muse for robin has been rather fickle because my muse for fred is... a tidal wave or smth, but either way i’m gonna try to get some replies while i’m at the bar, and sorry for the low activity <3 you can always reach me on disco / im tho !

A MANDATORY APOLOGY POST because i know i’ve been fifty shades of horrible on here ( read : starting plots / disappearing ; getting people to write me starters / disappearing ; etc ) and i am so so sorry ! i honestly have no excuse for this other than ‘ fred won’t let me be on any other blog ’ which is wild considering robin was always the most annoying presence in my mind and now ... guess she met her match. anyway i wanted to apologize but also reassure everyone that i’m in no way abandoning this blog ! i should have a relatively calm week ahead of me so i will be around for sure, as soon as that annoying ginger lets me live ♥ meanwhile you can always find me on fred or discord !

hc. my only contribution to this sunday is the small epiphany i had to day about how, despite robin’s wardrobe consisting exclusively of shades of black / dark grey / dark brown ( she’s been quoted at describing crimson as ‘ too girly a color ‘ for her once ) she actually loves fancy / feminine lingerie and has a particular passion for pink lace.
