Not sure if anyone has pointed it out but when Seon Gyeom got off a taxi, ran up to Mi Joo and tried to synchronise his steps with Mi Joo, step by step, beside her, it also shows how Seon Gyeom is trying to match his routine with Mi Joo's; the way she thinks, the way she stands for herself (although sometimes she still backtrack on that without Seon Gyeom knowing), the way she sees the world despite her having to raise herself - which is similar to him, because his mother just told him to follow what his father told him to do, without asking what he really wanted in life - and how Mi Joo fiercely protects and cares for the people she loves despite growing up not exactly knowing how it feels like to be loved.

The scene was not necessary, yet it ties everything that Seon Gyeom has done to let Mi Joo enter into his life, and him entering hers, together.
