As a fully grown adult, James probably should have known by now how to tie his fucking SHOELACES but that really didnât stop him. There were probably a lot of things he probably should have known how to do as an adult but that was what happened when his body had grown up but his brain still seemed to think that he was five years old. There was nothing more embarrassing than tripping over and falling flat on his face in public but it was even MORE embarrassing when the reason heâd fallen over was because he was too lazy to actually tie up his shoelaces and decided that he would be fine. Evidently he was not fine.Â
âFor fuckâs sake,â James grumbled to himself as he sat back up, checking out his hands which were now grazed from where heâd slammed them on the ground in an attempt to save himself from the inevitable. Luckily it was fairly quiet on this street but of course there had to be somebody watching him. A shit eating grin appeared on his lips for a moment. âWhatâs the point in having a witness to my tomfoolery if you didnât even FILM it so I can go viral on Tik Tok?âÂ
Hayden was running a little bit behind schedule today. She had a certain time for everything since the brunette was a obsessed with planning. Of course she was, it was her job almost. Since becoming a free lance photographer / content creator, the thirty-nine year old had begun to plan every thing she needed to get done throughout the day. It was cold out this morning, and even though Ever Green Dock was kind of far from where she had to go, the walk was nice and it forced her to exercise. Although holding her warm cup of coffee in her hands, and her big packed work bag in the other, Hayden stopped short and realized her coffee almost spilt. However, the brunette didn't realize someone in front of her had fell.Â
Looking down at the young man in front of her, the content creator put her things down on the sidewalk and helped him up "Here... let me hlep you." She said, and then waited a little bit to make sure he was alright "Are you alright?" She questioned, and then noticed his hands "Oooo.., I hate when you scrape your hands. I usually have a first aid kid in my car but sadly I decided to walk today." Shrugging her shoulders Hayden smiled âYou alright?âÂ
EVERGREEN DOCK ⢠WINTER MARKET

As much as she hated the prospect of âfamily togethernessâ, there was something about the festive season that always seemed to appeal to Layla. Perhaps it was the distractions of the twinkling lights that made everything seem a little nicer than it really was, or that the smell of cinnamon and gingerbread in the air reminded her of grandparents house when they used to visit at this time of year. She couldnât quite put her finger on it, and yet, there was still the smallest of smiles tugging at her lips as she meandered her way through the crowds at the Christmas market.Â
Her favorite stalls of all was about half way up. It had been for the past three Christmases that she had spent in Somerton, and there was no doubt in her mind that it would be in the same place again this year. She could practically taste the hot gin toddy in her mouth already, the liquid set to warm her from within. Adjacent to that one of course was the Sweet Surrender stall, where sheâd load up on pick-and-mix under the guise of it being for the child of a family friend, when in reality it was the closest thing to a Christmas dinner that she would be able to find for herself. âYou know, as much as some people hate the crowds -â Layla started to the person beside her, warm alcoholic beverage in hand, eyes looking over the piles of candy in front of her, â- itâs totally worth it for this, and this alone. Whatâs better than being a kid in a candy store? Being an adult in a candy store, with a drink.â She laughed, raising her cup in the direction of the other. âCheers, happy holidays.â
Roaming the Christmas Market this time of year was always Hayden's favorite thing to do in the winter. She always found the best gifts for her friends and family and it had become a little tradition ever since she moved to Somerton. This town was picturesqaure and it made her very grateful to be living here. It wasn't snowing, but it was crisp outside and Hayden held a tight grip on her coffee and the brunette was looking at beautiful orneaments for her tree.Â
After buying a few things, the thirty-nine year old moved over to the next couple of stalls and found Sweet Surrender, holding onto her bags from the benders she alredy brought from, Hayden got distracted by looking at all the different kind of candy, but then looked up and smiled as someone's familiar voice came to mind. Looking up, she saw Layla standing next to her and nodded her head "You're right! It is totally worth it. Whatcha drinking there?" Hayden asked laughing a little âCandy is always a good gift for friends and family.âÂ
BRIDGEPORT â˘Â FULL OâBEANS

The 4am wake up calls had long since become a part of Felicityâs morning routine, but that didnât mean that some days they didnât hit harder than others. Being ready to be on camera at 6 in the morning was something she had to remind herself was part of the big dream, and that she was just doing what she was meant to be doing. It didnât make her any less tired though, despite how much it was what she had worked her entire career to get to. The drop in energy levels had her straight to Full OâBeans, the best coffee place she could to near the television studios downtown. She didnât have anything set for the afternoon apart from a little bit of research for her show the next morning (the âfluffâ pieces seemed to provide the most work), and so taking a little time for herself and a well deserved caffeine fix was more than needed. Her hands clasped at the mug, her body relaxing into the chair beneath her as she savored the warmth. The recent turn into winter weather meant that the coffee was perhaps doing more duty than just the pick-me-up, but a warm-me-up too. It seemed that plenty of others had sparked the same idea, the cafe quickly filling up around her, enough for her to feel guilty for taking up more space than she probably should have. âDid you want to sit? I wonât be much longer, and you wonât hear a peep out of me, I promise.â
Her morning always started with coffee. Ever since Hayden was twelve years old and her grandfather gave the girl her first cup of coffee, the brunette somehow knew she would be a coffee addict. She wasn't ashamed of it, cofee was great. It kept her energize and with the kind of job that Hayden had, the thirty-nine year old always needed it as soon as she woke up. It was the first thing the content creator did when she got downstairs and headed for her kithen. It was a toss up between making her own cup to going out and buying it. Didn't matter, as long as Hayden had her coffee.Â
Waiting in line at Full Of Beans, her favorite coffee shop in town the brunette was eyeing a spot to sit down before her day started. Taking her phone out, Hayden finally oredered her drink and then started to reply to some emails before hearing Felicity's voice. "Hey! Morning you." Hayden said, finally realizing it was her friend. "You sit, Ive got a busy day ahead of me. A lot of shooting to do."

where: On The Rocks Bar
when: December 5th, 2020
As she sat in the booth, sounds came at her from all directions. The barâs music blared a brand of classic rock that Josie almost recognized, but couldnât quite place, which caused the people around her to talk louder than normal just to be heard by those sitting next to them. Josie couldâve put her Airpods to dampen some of the noise, but she chose not to. The business of it all was part of the reason she chose to work at On The Rocks that evening.
She wasnât writing or editing, just loosely bouncing around ideas for projects she may or may not want to take up in the future. Even if she didnât decide on anything that evening, she wouldâve looked at the bullet point filled Word document long enough for the ideas to stick in the back of her mind for the next day or so. That in itself was enough, because it meant that the next time she sat down and opened the Word document, whether it be tomorrow or the day after that, sheâd have no trouble typing out more ideas. If she let something float in the back of her mind for a while, it was almost impossible for her not to think of something new or add on to what she already had.
In her peripheral, Josie saw a figure sit down in the booth across from. Not being in the middle of typing anything, she closed her laptop and turned her attention to them.
âWhat if I had been saving that for someone? I wasnât, so youâre safe this time, but next time you might not be so lucky.â
After a busy day with work, Hayden usually curled up with a book and some tea. She would get into her pajamas and relax while finishing what she was reading. For some reaason though, tonight Hayden wanted to go out. It wasn't normal since the brunette had such busy days and those busy days always made her tired, but it was a Sunday night and she had no other plans. Being a loner sometimes made it tough, but being in a town like Somerton you never felt alone. The one place Hayden felt like going to was a bar, which was also unusal for the thirty-nine year old. She felt like she outgrew bars after college rightfully so. The one bar Hayden thought of was called On The Rocks. It was her favorite in town. Getting dressed into jeans and a black blazer, he hair was down and had little make up on. Finally deciding to leave, Hayden prepared herself for the night.Â
After arriving at the bar, the brunette stepped up to the bar tender and order a beer along with a soft pretzel. It was the first thing she's eaten since early this morning. She was starving and shouldve ordered something more substancial, but Hayden brushed it off. Reciving her order, the brunette sat down at a boot and watched as the crowd started to get busy and even more loud then when she first walked in. Getting lost within her thoughts, the thirty-nine year old looked up and then smiled softly "Oh shit. Sorry, I'll move if you want."

On September 17th back in 1989, the Davis family was completed. Elizabeth and Antonio Davis had welcomed their third and final child into this World at 6:30 in the morning, with two older children named Thomas and Ryleigh impatiently waiting for their new sibling. Another beautiful baby girl was born and everyone wasnât surprised one bit, they decided to name her Hayden. Her beautiful brown eyes opened and starred up at her mother and father, and they couldnât of been happier and more in love with the little one. Hayden Amelia Davis was a name to remember.Â
Haydenâs childhood was pretty much perfect. She had two older siblings whom she loved, parents who were her best friends and a dog that she took care of. Living right smack on the the beach in Wilmington, North Carolina it helped that the girl was a fan of salty air and sea hair. Hayden would spend hours when she wasnât in school in the ocean, swimming until the sun went down. Her parents had taught her however that education was the most important thing, and even though Hayden was labeled as the Wallflower early on throughout her school years, she studied hard and always got straight Aâs. She made a good group of friends and never really felt alone while growing up. Hayden was really a happy kid. Aside from surfing, her hobbies included volleyball as she was placed on the junior varsity volleyball team in highschool, she was also a fan of reading and writing. Even if Hayden was considered as a wallflower, the girl was a big part of her school and wrote for her schools newspaper and was on the Yearbook committee. It probably wasnât the best clubs to be apart of, but Hayden didnât care. In her Junior year of high school when youâre supposed to know what you want to do in life, Hayden figured out she really loved writing. Being editor in chief for her high school newspaper really helped with finding that passion. Getting along with her siblings, it helped that they were supportive when Hayden had told them she wanted to get into photography and create a blog. On her free days when she wasnât so busy, thatâs what the brunette was doing, was blogging and becoming obsessed with the World within it.Â
She soon got into fashion, and watched her blog soar with the content she was posting. When Hayden graduated from high school with honor roll and other achievements, Hayden decided to move out of her small town of Wilmington to New York City. She got accepted into FIT, and majored in Fashion Design, and minored in Film and Media. In college, Hayden pretty much kept to herself but again made a good group of friends. She didnât party much, but whenever she did people around Campus knew who she was due to her blog. Never really getting used to the popularity, Hayden realized she was more than just a blogger. She was a content creator, and had decided during her Senior year of college that she wanted to take this job seriously. After researching more about the job sheâs found a passion for, Haydenâs followers grew and grew.Â
When graduating from FIT again with honor roll and other achievements, once again always being good about school, Hayden realized she still loved photography. During the time sheâd come home, Hayden decided to take it up upon herself to find a job that included photography. During the summer time throughout her teenage years, she worked at her local Aquarium. Taking up the job again, this time she became a photographer for them. However, after a few years of living back home, Hayden figured it was time to move again but this time she moved to some place sheâs never been before to get a fresh start, which was Somerton, Maine. Hayden always loved to travel and always dreamed about starting over in another tiny town, and thatâs what she did. Still being a content creator, and now a freelance photographer, Hayden couldnât of been happier with the decision she has made. Living in Somerton for two years, sheâs been working at another Aquarium and continues with her blog. She now has a Youtube Channel and is active on instagram and twitter, she has gained a ton of followers and is still passionate about what she does. Â Â
