Person of Interest

Season 2, Episode 17 “Proteus,” brought Hayley the opportunity to work with some exceptional talent.  In addition to the lovely Michael Emerson, and Jim Caviezel, guest stars included Dan Lauria, Becky Ann Baker, and Luke Macfarlane. Check out a clip in Hayley’s reel on her Film page. It was a blast, even if they were soaked head to toe for much of the shoot :)

Hayley Treider Performs alongside legend Joel Grey

Veanne Cox, Kaitlin Hopkins, Camille Saviola, and Hayley were joined by the one-and-only Mr. Joel Gray in a fundraising cabaret for Two Rover Theatre Co., hosted by Seth Rudestsky. The unforgettable evening ended with a group rendition of “Willkommen,” lead by Mr. Gray, who won the Tony for his portrayal of the very same character in 1966.

Noel Coward’s Present Laughter, starting Michael Cumpsty and Veanne Cox, directed by David Lee

As Daphne Stillington, Hayley acted alongside an amazing cast at Two River Theatre Co: Michael Cumpsty, Veanne Cox, Kaitlin Hopkins, Camille Saviola, Mark Capri, James Riordan, Robin Moseley, Richard Hollis, Cole Escola, and Leighton Bryan.

Hayley receives Leonore Annenberg Fellowship for Performing Arts

Her alma mater, the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, was invited this year for the first time to nominate a recent alumni for the award. Actors have previously been nominated by Yale, Julliard, NYU’s graduate acting program, Lincoln Center, and the Public.  Hayley is thrilled and honored to be taking on this enormous opportunity and responsibility with the guidance of her mentor throughout the fellowship year, Mr. Carl Forsman, the current dean of drama at UNCSA. See them both above with Oskar Eustis, Andre Holland, and others at the awards luncheon, held at Lincoln Center.

“A manic backstage farce… in all its vintage screwball glory.” You may remember the 1938 Marx Brother film version of the script, featuring Lucille Ball. This production featured some exceptional talent including Ben Steinfeld, Michael McCormick, Jim Bracchitta, David Beach, Richard Ruiz, Zoe Winters, Eric Bryant, Donald Corren, Frank Vlastnik, and Peter Von Berg!

New and Old Play Development at the Public, MCC, Rattlestick, & Peccadillo

First the reading of a beautiful new work of Russel Davis’ at the Public with some lovely actors including Michael Stuhlbarg and Daniel Jenkins.  Then an exciting new play for MCC creatives that is being considered for an upcoming season, followed by an evening with the Peccadillo Theatre Company, reading through The Silver Cord with Edward Hibbert and fellow UNCSA alumni Wesley Talylor. And finally working alongside fellow alum Jennifer Ferrin and Gaye Taylor Upchurch at Rattlestick’s reading of Sophia Alvarez’s play NYLON with Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre at the Cherry Lane Theater.

Ben Brantley loves adaptation of the 1950s Rona Jaffe novel, ‘The Best of Everything’

Read Mr. Ben Brantley’s fabulous review of The Best of Everything from The New York Times on Hayley’s press page, in which he warmly describes her “torchy number…as the obsessive actress” Gregg Adams. Julie Kramer’s adaptation of The Best of Everything ran at HERE Arts Center and explored a world that’s sexy, funny, raw, and disturbingly current.  As Gregg Adams, Hayley portrayed an actress who wants it all but is temping at Fabian Publishing in 1958.

Workshop of Don Nguyen's 'Sound' for Playwrights Realm

Keen Company's 'Broadway in the Boroughs'

At the Keen Company’s annual benefit concert, Hayley performed alongside Broadway talent Matt Servitto, Katie Donohue, Sara King, Spencer Plachy, Kat Nejat, and Ryan Jesse.  Thank you Jonathan Silverstein and Carl Forsman for an incredibly fun night!

Workshop performance of Tony Glazer's, 'Everything Must Go' at the Vineyard Theatre

It’s always a ball working with Tony Glazer, this time at the Vinyard Theatre on a reading of his newest play Everything Must Go alongside actors Tom Pelphrey, Kelley Rae O’Donnell, Louis Carbonneau, and Summer Crockett Moore, directed by Mr. Michael Page. Glazer received the Williamstown Festival’s L. Arnold Weissberger Award for Playwriting for his play SUBSTANCE OF BLISS. Hayley worked previously with Glazer on his play AMERICAN STARE at Theatre Row.

Hayley lands role in new pilot, 'Drama Dept'

Check out The Drama Dept, a new pilot depicting the lives of incoming freshman at an acting program facing budget cuts, which brings a larger and more… diverse incoming class than usual.  Hayley plays the talent-challenged but perky Daisy Bloom.

Lisa Peterson directs workshop of Matt Witten's, 'Drones' for NY Stage & Film's Powerhouse Summer Theatre

Working with New York Stage & Film for a second time as a part of their Powerhouse Summer Theater Season at Vassar, Hayley played Air Force Lieutenant Sue Lawson in Drones by Matt Witten, directed by Lisa Peterson.  Her fabulous cast mates included fellow NCSA alum Scott Sowers, Jesse Presler, Sevan Greene, and Lameece Issaq.

Hayley recently performed in New York Stage & Film’s reading of Patricia Wettig’s play, ‘F2M’.  Directed by Maria Mileaf, Hayley worked with actors Jessica Hecht, Keria Keeley, Ken Olin, Didi O’Connell, and David Cale.
