Tired of worldly people making assumptions...
So tired of people assuming that because I cover myself in a great deal more clothes than “normal”, I must be a shy, dreary, self conscious person. I try not to have too high of an opinion of myself but I know that I look good, I think I have a pretty good body, I absolutely love talking to people and getting to know them, and despite my struggles with depression I am quite energetic. Yet when people my own age who aren’t from my church see me, they avoid me like the plague because they assume I’m a stuffy boring person. Just because I believe in modesty and have faith, doesn’t mean I’m out to be the fun police. If you want to have a drink, or blast some party tunes, I’m really not going to sit there shaming you for it. The worst that I’ll do is excuse myself if things get too rowdy.
I know I’m being really quite petty about things, but it does sometimes really hurt my feelings when I’m not invited to participate with my peers, just because they wrongly assume I’m going to lecture them about faith and sinning. I know online I’m quite passionate about my beliefs and my lifestyle, but I actually very rarely blatantly bring up my faith to people and I especially avoid it if I know that said person has already declined my offer to teach them about the Lord.
Does the darkness of the world ever sadden you, especially as a believer striving for holiness
The world is a very dark place and there are many times where I have felt myself grow heavy with bearing it. However I know that with the love and strength of my Heavenly Father to rely on, I will not be left to bear it alone. Which keeps me from hopelessness. In his boundless glory I find a peace unmatched by anything I have ever known.
How do you personally pray if you don’t mind me asking? Do you have a set prayer or do you chat to God like a friend? Also who do you pray to- God, Jesus? I know that sounds silly but I find the trinity hard to get my head round. I’d really appreciate the help if you could. Thank you x

For me prayer is something so amazing, it’s a bit odd to say but it’s like having a direct line to the most loyal of confidantes. No matter what I tell Him he will never stop loving me, even if he doesn’t approve. I generally pray in the morning,at each meal, in the afternoon before I do my devotions, and before I go to sleep. Though throughout my day or when I am struggling there are many moments where I do talk to Him as I would a friend. As I do believe in the trinity I pray to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. However I don’t pray in specially to each, and find it easier to let myself be guided in prayer. So for instance in the morning I might start my prayer with “dear God”, and in the evening as I give thanks I might say “dear Heavenly Father”.

This verse has been on my mind lately as if to remind me that the nothing of this world could ever measure up to the glory of God. For the world may supply temporary pleasures, but they will never compare to the afterlife in heaven with God and all my family in Christ.
Homosexuality is wrong but so is being hateful.
I think that homosexuality is immoral and flies in the face of Gods plan for humanity, and many of my fellow believers have voiced their agreement. That said I would just like to take a moment to address something that has been nagging at me for awhile now. My belief that homosexuality is wrong does not mean that I condone the use of hateful language/slurs against people who behave in a sexually immoral fashion. To those of you who have sent me messages telling me that I should tell sexually deviant people to kill themselves, or calling them f**gots, or saying that you want them to be murdered, I just want to publically rebuke your words and tell anyone who shares similar sentiments that this type of thinking also flies in the face of Gods will.
God calls on Christians especially to “love thy neighbour”. Which doesn’t mean you have to pretend that homosexuality is okay, it means that you should condemn the behaviour with love. Explain why it’s wrong, be kind,be loving, but stay firm to the truth. I don’t want to hurt people who think that they are gay, I want to help guide them towards salvation and repentance. I don’t want to call anyone horrible names and make them feel bullied, on top of the shame they already hold subconsciously in their hearts. I want to be the one holding them afloat well they work through the pain of realizing their sinful ways, so that I can be there to celebrate when they finally break out of sin and into the light of Jesus.
Suicide is a sin, and it is in itself sinful to encourage people to sin. So telling people afflicted by homosexuality to “go die”, is just as wrong as their actions.
Murder is a sin, and the bible even says that to think of sinful thoughts is just the same as if you had already committed that sin.
God loves all people despite the fact that none of us are worthy of it. So to say that God hates gay people is a flat out lie, and lying is just as bad as every other sin.

Social media is undeniably an important part of our world,and an incredibly tool for spreading the Lords message. However it is incredibly easy to misuse social media in a way that exposes us to the influence of Satan,as well as portraying us in a way that doesn’t honour our special role as ambassadors for Christ. Part of the reason I haven’t been that active on here is because of life stuff and my face to face ministry taking up a lot of time, but another reason is that I don’t think it’s mentally healthy to get so heavily invested in social media. Our only obsession should be with loving the Lord, not with how many people think we look nice or how many people love our new possessions. To place anything on par with the importance of God is to greviously insult the awesome power of our Heavenly Father. I do believe it is okay to participate in the world, but we should be conscious to live every part of lives in a way that sets us apart from unbelievers. There is nothing wrong with caring about how you look, but pride and vanity are for the Worldly.
Emma Mae Jenkins is one of my favourite Christian youtubers, her enthusiastic approach to living according to the word of God is infectious. This video is something that I think people should see,and understand about sexual purity and Gods desires for us as we navigate relationships.
For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

Honestly I have a ridiculously bad habit of not including the little space after commas, I was always chastised in school for it. To the point where I developed a little automatic rebellion. Although I suppose if I want to be taken seriously I ought to be more conscious of it.
