Kit raging on the lake is such an insane scene. Like jesus fucking hell they couldn’t have come up with a more heart rending scene in a million years because my god do they make you feel just exactly how fucking destroyed devastated Kit is in that moment. The low, gravelly voice. “Then make it stop.” The zombified way she walks, it freezes your bones, because you can see just how beyond the line she’s been driven. And it’s not Elora’s fault, like yeah it’s directed at Elora, but it’s all Kit’s own pains own hurts that she’s nursed for years that’s she’s grown inside her, a thing taken root within her, grown to strangling, it all boils over and the audience is just scalded with it. “All that power.” The red she’s seeing. The agony she’s in. The bitter fury in her eyes. The hurting within an inch of her sanity. “Or what? What, you’ll kill me?” Just destroyed me. honestly

Willow really gave us canon sapphics who kiss in the first episode, who are sword lesbians, who are much too awkward to ever admit their extremely obvious feelings even by the time the whole of the rest of the party knows, who’ll say shit like “well you are the expert at breaking my heart” and “my princess” and “shut up and do something about it”, who are an actual knight and princess pairing who are a badass battle couple who also spar together, for whom sword fighting is their love language, are childhood friends who discover that their parents were deadly enemies, who rescue one another, who have both watched the other nearly die in front of their eyes and screamed “please” in agony, sure they’re about to loose the other half of their soul, are best friends who joke and tease each other and are also perfectly willing to tell each other when they look a bit deranged, who openly cuddle together after declaring their love, who jump off the edge of the world for each other, who say things like “I love you” in order to throw the other off and win a sparring match but also mean it with their whole heart

There’s something beautifully tangible about the way that Kit and Jade cuddle in that little scene on the shattered sea. How well they communicate how good it feels to them. How they fit together, how close they feel, cuddled together like that, the way it’s Kit holding Jade, her knight, and how Jade looks, how relaxed, how blissful, just being held, eyes closed. Close enough for Kit to feel Jade’s breaths rumbling through her, deep and rhythmic. Jade’s head tucked under Kit’s chin. Her weight a reassuring comfort. Just enjoying the simple closeness
