all right, i guess that's a wrap, if not just for now, then perhaps for this blog, given the direction of the people owning the site. i guess i still do have some closing thoughts. this is the first time i've ever closed something i've done long term like this, so i'll be floundering a bit. i'll start somewhere short before i probably keep rambling into a keep reading...

October 2018, huh? six 'n' a half years of this blog. that's- it's wild, now that i try and conceptualize it. i've been doing this for almost a quarter of my life! i did it because the switch could only hold 100 videos on hardware, and there was yet another limit of 1,000 videos on SD cards, and i was like, "that's not enough." so i decided to stash them on my laptop, and figured i might as well post 'em somewhere at that point, and now, this blog has 17,173 posts. the vast majority of those being vids! and like, i had to have clipped WAY more, when you think about how many i've edited together, especially recently with longer games and stuff. nuts. i'm just not over that length of time. i haven't enjoyed, or chosen to do something for that long before. good way to spend my 20s, really. and it's kind of the reason i got a girlfriend, so y'know ;p

one reason i'm choosing to stop now is that i'm plain ol' getting tired, and i don't want to try and fill the queue in hopes that i can figure something out before that runs out. just make it a break i can ride out until i get the itch to continue down some road. i do like this whole video thing on the whole, so i'd probably continue it, and it'll probably be on youtube? kinda by default, really. i feel kinda wishy washy on trying streaming, so more likely to just keep being videos. always did want some longer form stuff, maybe some voiced. i do hope it'll be under the same name, i love being HazelsLuck. this last MRD thing has me more interested than ever in trying my hand at mashing, so maybe a bit of that. eh, i should be going full stop, full stop, and stop spitballing for now. if the blog is still up when i get going- and i assure you, taking it down is not something i will choose to do myself- i'll be sure to post some links here.

i want to give a thanks for everyone who passed by here and added something every now and again, reblogged or liked any clips i ever posted. i can only hope that others, in some way or another, liked or appreciated some facet of any of these clips or the words i put with them. this was an amazing time, and again, thank you.

i dunno when i originally said it, but Outside... rather, precisely, not this song, but the concept of outside, of going outside, i interpret that as an ending. i attribute this to the ending of Sly 2: you've seen everything. you won. go outside.

MAD LAST WORLD is 5/4 time, and for that i have little musical background. uh. that was fun to figure out. i'd call it a very thrilling tune, i like it more than Emmental Catalepsy, actually.

Bowing Steps is solid- hard mode has this lovely long pause somewhere for tension, i love a string instrument. the works, right?

this is also the only DLC song where Bilva and Chongo's different approaches made it hard for me: Bilva got all the DLC tracks worked into the main story, while Chongo did a bonus album for those instead. Boss Rush and STOP CALLING are two very different tones of songs, and initial ideas i had just don't work at all.

doing this stretch is always kind of interesting, since there's a few close calls wrapped in there.

Nightmare Road is probably the most boring track of all the songs? which, like, one of them has to be, but it needs to do something a little more. i came around for a ton of slow songs, but it feels the most like filler.

Gloucester Carousel is just a fun tune, y'know? and i have fun on 3-3, it's my go-to for playing the song.
