The Best And Worst Places To Be A Kid
A recent report from Save the Children documents what many people have known for a long time â a baby is far better off being born in Europe than in sub-Saharan Africa.
Itâs a point that has been made before. âBut itâs important that Save the Children and others keep bringing it up and putting it before the public because it can be forgotten, ignored or passed over amidst the news of the day,â says Robert Black, the director of international programs at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

In all honesty, Iâm not too scared of a Trump presidency.
Doesnât mean I wouldnât mind him winning; as a Latina and, well, as a human being, I absolutely despise that child, but if he were elected I donât think it would be as bad as many are led to believe.
I mean we survived Reagan.
I donât think many of us did much surviving
But I mean yeah and also Reagan was a politician, trump is not. Quickly put, he already has little congressional support, and since Congressâ budget is often blamed on the president, and with the way heâs going to use that budget, his legitimacy is going to plummet. Heâs powerless. A child who cries wolf with no legitimate power lest it be checked. And guess who wonât approve it?
Iâm not worried. Heâd get old, fast
The immediate consequences are some dumb executive orders and a few hissy fits when it turns out surprise the president doesnât get to make all decisions.  The moderate- to long-term consequences are a hilariously skewed supreme court, a bunch of Trump-approved staff and advisors and trade deals, and - absolutely the worst part - dozens of Republican governors and representatives running on increasingly Trump-like platforms, since âthatâs what the people want,â locking moderate republicans out as the elephant party scrambles to keep itself together in a repeat of Tea Party shenanigans.  Â
Bring Back the Glassmen
Itâs been a year and Iâm still a little fuzzy on how this turned out. Â Supposedly thereâs a Soundsport team in the works now.
what is it about apple that turns otherwise normal and reasonable people into people that say stuff like âactually apple removing the headphone jack from the iphone is goodâ
