I can’t believe I never noticed this before... in the scene where Sledge and Leckie are talking about god, the glimpse of white shirt under Sledge's jacket looks like a priest's collar! Coincidence? I think not!
(I know he was Protestant, but if you look at it in the context of him talking to Leckie, who was Catholic...)
