“Do you mind if I ask what you mean by that?” Karen asked lightly, her smile making it clear that she would not push him for an answer to her question. She slipped her hands in her pockets, tapping a heel on the ground in time to a song in her head. It made the time go by faster.

“Not at all. It’s pretty simple, really. A new location, even when you’re excited, has a lot to show you. And whether or not it’ll benefit you in the long run, and the ones you’re with. In my case, my little girl.” He admitted, noting her patient and kind disposition and giving her another smile in response.

He looked to the new face with a quiet chuckle, shaking his head and staring out to the shore. “But if you’re not, it gets a little irritating, doesn’t it? So, what brings you around the area, if you’re not a fan either? I’ve at least got an excuse in the form of booze.”

If its fluff to you, fine, but don’t need to make people feel like shit for liking this whole thing.” dani comments, a frown forming on her lips as she turns to the other. she held a seltzer drink in one hand. this man reminded her too much of christian. “whyre you even here if you think its…excessive.”

“And if I didn’t voluntarily sign on for it? The beach is just in proximity to it, so I get the residual effects without signing in. I’m, as you say, shitting on it because I didn’t want a part of it.” He chided in response, raising his bottle up slightly. “That’s why I’m here. Exclusively for the shoreline, which seems inextricably linked to the festival.”

“you must be fun at parties,” katniss said in greeting, a bitter comment usually reserved for people to say about her. there was too much noise down the beach near all the music and games, people shrieking in joy. she never understood that – screaming in happiness. “people are just trying to have fun. find the bright side in everything.” she may not have been a party person, but she knew she was an outlier in that regard. people often needed a distraction. that, at least, she knew better than anyone.

“I’m even more fun when the celebrations are natural.” Nines muttered with a chuckle before turning to the woman with a raised eyebrow. It was rather amusing to him, being put in the hot seat. Nothing he wasn’t used to, though. “I did find the bright side, like I said. Alcohol. Beer, booze, whatever you want to call it. The mother of all bad decisions.” He teased, stretching and looking back to her with a smirk. “And what about you? What’s your bright side to the party?”

A small, welcoming smile worked its way on to Karen’s lips, and she extended a hand in greeting. “Well, I’m Karen Page. If you need anything, call me at this number and I will be more than happy to help.” Her hand had slipped into her purse, digging out a card with her name and number on it, the Woodshore Chronicle’s logo on it. “How about this, are you excited to be in a new place?”

He gently clasped the hand and shook it in greeting, then took the card handed to him and examined it for a brief moment before nodding. “Right. Will do. Thank you, Miss Page. I’m John Watson.” He muttered, stuffing it into his back pocket before nodding. “I’ll admit, this place is... Promising. I just hope it’s enough.” He remarked, a wistful air to his comment.

even if he was out at this place, frank wasn’t exactly a fan of any of it. any attempt at optimism only made him miss his family, and the realism of woodshore was not all too pleasant. a carnival didn’t change what this place was. too bad he didn’t know exactly what it was. “i don’t think you’re really the target audience for a bunch of ducks and an alpaca,” he remarked with a huff of amusement.

Nines let out a chuckle and looked up towards Frank with a bit of a smirk. “Noted. But I am the target specifically for the alcohol.” He joked, scratching the back of his neck and deciding to look out to sea. The view was lovely, even despite the commotion coming from the festival. Blissfully unaware, he just sighed. “Besides. I’m not typically one for a social scene. That might play into it a bit as well.”

“I mean, really. A lot of this celebration seems like needless fluff to me. Apart from the liquor, I don’t see much appeal to it. Like... A petting zoo. That seems a bit excessive, wouldn’t you say?” Nines muttered as he lounged on the beach, pinching the bridge of his nose. The drumming beat of the live music seemed to echo, even despite how far away from the action he remained.

Most days, Karen spent time in her little office at Woodshore Chronicle, editing articles and tracking interesting stories to add to her stash of front page news worthy scoops. Not today, it was too beautiful a day to spend cooped up indoors, so she was out on the street, interviewing people here and there about their thoughts on Woodshore. “Excuse me,” She tapped the person on the shoulder, her smile as polite as ever, “Care to make a comment about our lovely Woodshore?”

John had been out for a nice, brisk walk out in the beautiful weather, thinking about the recent events leading to moving to Woodshore, when he was approached by a new face. With a bit of a chuckle, he scratched the back of his neck and chuckled. “Comment? On, uh... On what, do you mean?” He asked quietly, giving her a kind smile. “I just moved in a little while ago, so I don’t really have much to comment on, I wouldn’t think.” He admitted.

John Watson || Woodshore Introduction

( the scent of freshly fired gunpowder, warm sweaters, and last call at local bars ) && it looks like JOHN WATSON has finally arrived in woodshore ( though he originates from BBC Sherlock ). although known as a CONFIRMED BACHELOR back home, here they are a thirty-seven year old general practitioner, known to be LOYAL, but DEMANDING. they were coaxed here with the promise of FEELING WHOLE AGAIN. they remember NOTHING OF THEIR OLD LIFE.

Since John’s canon takes place after Season 4, we have a special addition in the form of an NPC! Little miss Rosamund Mary Watson, John and Mary’s baby, takes up residence with John as he balances his job and being a good father to his daughter.  Considerably less to add in general from when I added RK900, but there’s not much to be said with the canon basis John is founded on by comparison. Anyways, look forward to RPing with you lovelies!!

RK900 (Nines) || Woodshore Introduction

( quiet typing, the dim glow of a computer at midnight, a chill touch ) –– && it looks like rk900 (nines) has finally arrived in woodshore ( though he originates from detroit: become human). although known as a ruthless android back home, here they are a twenty-nine year old entrepreneur, known to be efficient, but uncaring. they were coaxed here with the promise of the secrets of robotic autonomy. they remember nothing of their old life.

from what point in your characters canon are they taken from?

Though he doesn’t remember it, Nines is taken from after the revolution took root. With no need for a deviant hunter, he was lost without a purpose, abandoned by CyberLife soon after his creation. With little to hold on to, he began wandering in search of a purpose. He had no desire to chase the deviants now that they were free. In doing so, he unwittingly became a deviant himself. The stagnation ate away at him, to a point he wasn’t sure why he was created, and soon became obsessed with wanting to learn all about the autonomy his kind were given, and just how they came about. A desire that transferred over to Woodshore.

Since RK900 was really only given screentime in one of the bad endings, I feel it’s important to say I’m going to be taking quite a few liberties in regards to his character. I apologize in advance, but look forward to RPing with you all! :D Tag dump in the tags!!
