very hilarious to me that if u look at the beginning of enterprise in hindsight after getting through all four seasons its like. okay so the corrupt govt on vulcan which was suppressing advancement on earth and dissent on their own planet was like. hm who should we install as a plant on this earth vessel (ostensibly to Ensure It Fails). ah yes our former intelligence agent who has a documented history of letting her emotions rise up and who had to get memories and feelings from her missions in the service deleted bc they made her incredibly volatile. the one who would regularly sneak out of our compound on earth to go listen to jazz. a famously expressive and emotional form of music. nothing will go wrong here there’s no way she forms loyal bonds with a crew of humans and will at one point play a pivotal role in overthrowing the regime and installing a new leader.
