something just incredibly sweet about jamie and alex’s friendship. it’s not this like, creative click of the supergroup as with alex and miles or even the same exact laddish thing as alex and matt. it’s two little guys growing up in the same backyard and still being the same little guys 20 years later, dressing the same but in different colors at any opportunity and playing back to back on their guitars during teddy picker & doing the bridge from the view from the afternoon the exact same way for 15 years & being so excited about it every time. it’s alex deferring to jamie on every single decision by the band - is this still arctic monkeys? what about this? what about this? is it just me in this record - do i have to put this out alone? and jamie saying, yes. this is all of us still
