oh my god I can’t believe I made this blog when I was 14

just watched run with the wind and found out Haiji is voiced by Hide and damn the biggest whiplash of the century. Is this how it feels to fall madly in love again?

Oh to be so consumed by my own love for a fictional character like Hideyoshi Nagachika again. I made an entire sideblog only about him and then posted theories on goddamn reddit. I can’t believe I had the brain cells to research all that. Hide gave me that energy.

gosh, hide knew kaneki at his worst–he really did. he was the only one who had seen kaneki truly lose himself and wasn’t afraid of him. he was the only one who no matter what, showed kaneki unconditional love at his best and his worst. while all the other ghouls and investigators saw kaneki as this king like figure and an immortal ghoul (and in some cases even a monster) , hide saw him as the same kaneki he’d fallen in love with.

that is unconditional love there and no one loves or cares for kaneki like that. no one is willing to see him as just regular kaneki no matter how he is presenting himself. no one except hide.

Thinking about Hide and everything he sacrificed. Such a wonderful pure hearted boy who did everything for the person he loved even if it meant giving his own life and sacrificing living a comfortable life if it meant protecting the man he loves life. Hide got so much recognition for his contributions for attempting to bring peace between two warring species but what he truly wanted was to be by his best friend’s side for the rest of his life. He was content with that even if his love wouldn’t never be reciprocated.
