While I do love a bug Kai au (and I'm definetly planning to play around a bug Kai design myself), I very much prefer the canon take on it. The fact that Kai's determination to see his family again is strong enough to triumph over the darkness of the Land of Monsters is awesome!

This comic is a representation of that. Sure, Kai has a few new scars, and he’s adopted a few bad habits like inmsonia and paranoia, but the ears are something he can’t hide from anyone or "heal" from. It's physical proof that he went through all that. More importantly, it's also proof that, though the Land of Monsters changed him, it couldn’t defeat him! His love for his family was stronger than the cruelty of that place.

in season 3, is it officially retconned that the ninja were given their elemental powers? like in the temple of light where lloyd dispurses his golden power, the ninja can then finally use their powers with their hands without assistance from the golden weapons. because either they did not actually have their elemental powers until then or they did not unlock them until lloyd dispursed the golden power. this had to be retconned right? or else the entire system of elemental powers is fucked up

i actually have a whole theory to justify this though if it didn't get retconned. we know in season 5, when lloyd is possessed by morro, all the ninja lose their elemental powers (except for nya and morro because their powers are connected to wojira instead of the FSM), plus in DR season 4 when lloyd connecting with his elemental power and deepening his connection to it brings back the elemental powers of those around him, at least temporarily. we know lloyd has at least some connection to elemental powers and we know his connection is important to the function of them, or at least some. my theory is that elemental powers, at least the ones connected to the FSM, are dependent on whoever the green ninja is, not that they come from them specifically, but they are dispursed and powered by whoever it is. obviously, it's currently lloyd. but this would explain how past elemental masters before the current generation existed, that the powers are charged and dispursed by the master of life, but doesn't come from them directly. we also know that that the FSM didn't create elemental powers, that was the source dragons, but i'd like to think there was responsibility given to him for most of those powers. we know that he made the agreement with the source dragons, and when the source dragons pull, that's when powers get all wonky.

now, i'll point out a hole here immeditately, that nya also loses her elemental powers when half the source dragons pull from the agreement from the FSM, even though her powers don't initially come from them. maybe the responsibility of elemental powers is passed on to certain godly figures so the source dragons can keep to themselves and not have to deal with mortal affairs, like a messanger. like the first spinjitzu master took on the responsibility of the elemental masters, except for the powers that belonged to wojira. and wojira is so powerful that i think she could be considered a godly figure. and there's gotta be other "gods" of these worlds too because the FSM didn't create all of the realms, only some of them. maybe the responsibility of elemental powers after the merge fell to lloyd, or at least a part of them. that same idea of getting them charged. he's related to the FSM master after all, and has already had a large part of the responsibilty of these elemental powers, it would make sense for this to fall to him. (poor lloyd bro)

IMPORTANT QUESTION

Before the merge, were elemental powers only exclusive to Ninjago? Were there other elemental masters? Or did the new elemental masters only gain them when the merge happened?

We know from the Tournament there are masters from other realms, but they have had plenty of time to train since the merge happened in order to master their elements. Is there any evidence of someone having their powers before the merge?

Ras is from Chima 🤓☝️

We know Chima is one of the 16 realms (as seen in season 5 during Lloyd and Morro's battle) Maybe Ras keeps lamenting about how Legends of Chima got cancelled. Maybe his "Master" is actually Cragger! (Or whoever the villain of Chima was after him idk I haven't watched that show since I was 10)

Maybe Ras is trying to turn all of the merged realms into Chima, he's trying to say that Chima should've been Lego's cashcow brand instead of Ninjago.

I don't know why but I'm obsessed with the way Lloyd says "enough". I think it shows his growth and ability to take control of a situation. No one objects to his demand and the snide comments cease. I don't know. It's just really cool.

Theory that Lloyd is willingly ignorant about his element because he doesn't want to know what kind of power he's capable of. He's someone that doesn't have a lust for power and I'd assume he wouldn't even want to be aware of what else he could do.

This is also why he's notably more skilled in swordfighting, because he spends more time honing those skills rather than his element.

Examples: taking Soto's fork leg in Skybound & stealing the handcuff keys from Harumi in Crystalized.

Like, obviously it's from Darkley's, but it's still just so cool and would love to see that being implemented more in the show.
