If your spouse isn’t dating, and you don’t want to lie, you could talk about how excited you and your spouse are to be polyamorous. Seeing as its recent, I don’t see why you wouldn’t be talking about it as an exciting new development in your life. It’s just “hey how was your weekend” “fantastic, my spouse went out on a date with this person they like and so I was helping them get ready. it was really fun.”
