The brunet's face suddenly became very tense, and showed a blank slate. His eyes were unamused and half lidded, while his mouth was in a straight line. He yawned as though he were tired, when in fact he wasn't. He turned around and a smirk popped up on his face.
"Upupupu! Ah, but didn't I say I liked you, Tsumiki-san? And it's true, I really do enjoy your company! After all, what's not to enjoy? Your overwhelming kindness and caring? Or is it the fact that you would do anything for your friends?" He chided, tapping his index finger against his chin as though he were thinking. After a while he simply shruged, before he looked back eagerly at the Health Committee Member. "You're...both right, and wrong, Tsumiki. I am Super High School Level Despair. But I'm also Super High School Level Hope. But how does this even work, you ask?" He stretched his arms before he turned around again, a crazed expression on his face. He chuckled at the other, yet he kept his facial composure a simple smirk. "It works like this: Despair and Hope are two sides of the same coin, you see. And so, if you fall into Despair deep enough, as deep as I did, then you come shooting out on the side of Hope. No one is more worthy of the title then I. I hope for Despair, and I'm despairing for Hope! So you see, Tsumiki, I do actually deserve the title, more then anyone else! You can call me Super High School Level Despairing Hope or Ultimate Hope, take your pick!"
....
[Miki steps away from the shorter boy, not quite sure what to think. The Naegi-san he knew was kind and caring...but this one just unsettled him.]
You're...you're lying Naegi-san...I'm just...not good enough for anything or anyone, but it's okay, I've grown t-to accept that...
But you're whole hope and despair ordeal...you're j-just as s-scary as Enoshima-san! you've lost your grip on reality...what happened to you, Naegi-san? you don't need to stay in despair, you can b-break free, there's much more to life than that....I w-won't call you either of those, you're still the Super High School Level Good Luck! just like always, right? please stop saying such awful things...I know it's not my place to say it, being what I am, but...wouldn't it b-be better to be balanced out? living thinking there's only bad and good is unhealthy, p-please trust me on that one, I've done medical research on this kind of thing.
