Did it also break your suspension of disbelief that literally everyone in D:BH hated androids when even today there are people who love their appliances more than fellow humans? Like, I feel bad when I scream at my computer, I couldn't even imagine shouting at an android, least of all actually abusing it! Honestly, if androids came on the market today there`d be an instant debate about the morality of using them. How did that not happen for years in the game???

I thought it was pretty unbelievable.

We assign personalities to everyday objects and animals because they remind us of ourselves, so it’s pretty hard to believe that, in a future where we have androids who look exactly like we do, there would be more people who mistreat them than there are those who take care of them.

I bet that, if we go by how we are today, if an android started to show signs of having emotions people would probably just let them go, and even celebrate it.

David Cage mushed a whole bunch of negative and horribe parts of history together into one, and didn’t really think about how it didn’t really make any sense. Androids do everything we tell them to do, yet people hate them because of it? I understand the outrage about people losing their jobs, but really, humans have no real reason to hate androids the way they do in the game.

We all headcanon him as either this suave, smooth motherfucker - the only one who’s able to withstand Reed easily and kick ass while looking perfect - or/and as the incarnation of all evil and pretty much a mommy’s (Amanda’s) son that won’t say no to whatever she orders him to do.

But as far as I know, he’d be the goofier version of Connor.

Because yes, he’s faster, more resilient and taller too, but he also lacks the basic understanding of humanity Connor has. Like, he gets human interaction on a basic level. But his successor would also be more specialized, and that would contain an interrogation mode, better understanding of evidence, maybe even faster running speed but nothing more. Rk900 would be even more confused with anything that’s not to be taken literally. You try to fistbump him? He doesn’t get it and tries to retain you for threatening an officer. Somebody tells a joke. He literally goes “Why would a chicken cross a road that’s unsafe and against traffic regulations”. Somebody shows empathy, jealousy, love, sadness or literally anything else: His reaction ranges from “I don’t know” to “I don’t care where’s the evidence”. The only thing he ever puts anything in relation to, is criminal investigations. He’ll be the one to talk about murder during a nice dinner, because he literally doesn’t know any other topics.

Now imagine a deviant Rk900 and a crying child right next to his ass and him be the most helpless idiot, while he took out an entire swat team seconds before with his left hand cut off.

Now imagine a non-deviant Rk900 wondering why the fuck he wants to strangle that prick he has to work with, although one of his first programmed sequences keeps him from harming humans. (And then imagine him wondering why his LED goes red and his chest tightens whenever said Detective gets into harm’s way himself.)

Seriously. He would be such an emotionless (or too emotional but he thinks those are just malfunctions) rock that’s just genuinely confused, and I love it.

HC: After Cyberlife figured out that Connor's voice sounded a little... awkward, they really wanted to give RK900 a new voice that could inspire more authority and respect. I imagine that the first time they meet him, everyone is excited to see "Connor's brother". It goes as expected: everyone loves the physical similarities between Connor and him. So when they hear this deep, low and almost scary voice, everyone goes speechless. Bonus: RK900 is aware if this and hates his voice.

Bonus bonus: But he knows how to use that devils tongue to work his magic on especially stubborn suspects. Or maybe even… obnoxious Detectives? (wink wink hint hint)

This is a great headcanon. Thanks for providing me with it. And since you told me about it, I’m gonna add it to every story I have ‘bout Rk900, just you watch!

(And yes, I wanted him to be designed “scarier” than Connor too, cuz I think some Cyberlife employees had to keep track of how people reacted to their prototype, and heard Hank go “well they fucked up [with your design]”. Just imagine some overworked designer having to hear that from some half-assed, ubiquitously drunk Lieutenant. They’d deliberately turn Rk900 into a authority-imposing character, just for payback (while telling management it’s a necessity of entirely different reasons).

Does anyone else notice that Connor seems to be the only android that twitches when doing any sort of transmission? I first noticed this when he was talking to the desk clerk. When she was receiving authorization from Connor.

She seems to have no problem at all. But Connor is clearly twitching almost like he is struggling.

This isn’t the only time Connor also has his twitching “problem”. He also twitches when receiving a report about a suspecting deviant.

Connor is the only Android in the game that struggles with these transmissions. I took a look at other sences and Connor is the only one that blinks like this.

Even Markus doesn’t have any struggle and he is also a prototype like Connor.

By the way I see it Connor is a very fidgety Android and can’t seem to stay still. He moves his hands a lot and can’t even sit on a chair long enough to wait for hank. He twitches when receiving transmissions and always needs to be doing something.
