No one lives without sacrifice. The real question is for whom will you tire out?

Ibn al-Qayyim said:

من رغب عن التعب لله؛

ابتُلي بالتعب في خدمة الخلق ولا بدّ

Whoever does not tire himself for the sake of Allāh will undoubtedly be tried with fatigue in the service of (others in) creation.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said;

A man may do the deeds of the people of Paradise, as it appears to people, while he is from the people of Hell; and a man may do the deeds of the people of Hell, as it appears to people, while he is from the people of Paradise. Verily, deeds are judged by their endings.”

Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.

A profound reminder:” “Do you wish to enter Paradise by doing the deeds of the people of Hell?

Ibn al Qayyim رحمه الله said,

‎

The evil eye is like an arrow released from the envier.

If it finds the victim exposed, it strikes him but

if he is protected with the adhkar it does not affect him.

Yahya ibn Mu'adh said,

The body becomes sick due to ailments, and the heart becomes sick due to sins.

So just as the body does not find pleasure in eating while it is sick,

likewise the heart does not experience the sweetness of worship alongside sins.

If Allah has blessed you with a favor and you wish for it to remain, then fill your tongue with His praise and your heart with gratitude. The more you thank Him, the more He preserves and increases His blessings.

Allahﷻ said; "If you are grateful, I will give you more." {14:7}

How vast is the mercy of Allāh.

You disobey Him, yet He opens the door of regret in your heart. He then guides you to seek His forgiveness, accepts your repentance, becomes pleased with you, and by His immense grace, transforms your sins into good deeds.

Such is the boundless mercy of our Lord.

Asking For Forgiveness A Making Dua When Waking Up

From Ubadatt Bin Samitt [رضي الله عنه] from the Prophet [ﷺ] who said:

❝Whoever says when he awakes from sleep:

«لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ سبحانَ اللهِ، والحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، ولا إله إلا الله، واللهُ أكبرُ اللهم اغفر لي.»

'There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah Alone, He has no partners, He has the Dominion and for Him is all praise. He is capable of all things, there is no capability nor is there any power except with Allaah, far is Allaah from imperfection, praise be to Allaah and there is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah and Allaah is the Greatest.'

After that he says, 'O Allaah forgive me', or makes a Dua then he is answered, and if he performs Wudu then prays, his prayer would be accepted.❞

الدُّنيا ممرٌّ لا مقرّ.

يزدادُ الغنيُّ غِنًى، ويزدادُ الفقيرُ فقرًا.

ومع ذلك، من المؤلم أن ترى أناسًا يملكون المال، ولكنهم فقراء في الصدق والإخلاص.

وترى آخرين لا يملكون من الدنيا إلا القليل، لكنهم أغنياء بالإيمان والدِّين.

فالغنى الحقيقي ليس بكثرة المال، وإنما بغنى القلب وطاعة الرحمن.

Translation:

This worldly life is only a passing place, not a permanent home.

The rich become richer, and the poor become poorer.

Yet it is painful to see people who possess wealth but are poor in sincerity and truthfulness.

And others who own very little of this world, yet are rich in faith and devotion to Allah.

For true wealth is not the abundance of money, but the richness of the heart and obedience to the Most Merciful.

Shamsuddeen Muhammad Bin Abee Bakr Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah [D.751 A.H.] [رحمه الله] said:

❝From the greatest means for the constraint of the heart is: Turning away from Allaah [تعالى], and attaching the heart to other than Him. Being negligent of His remembrance, and loving other than Him, since whoever loved something other than Allaah then he is punished with that thing. His heart is imprisoned in loving that other thing. So there is none in this world who is more wretched than him, and none more in a gloomier situation, nor a more miserable survival, nor any one with a more tired / sick heart.❞

Our Rights

Ibn Al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said:

«إذا تأملت حال أكثر الناس وجدتهم ينظرون في حقهم على الله وﻻ ينظرون في حق الله عليهم .»

When you reflect upon the condition of the majority of the people you find that they look for their right upon Allaah but they do not look for Allaah's right upon them.

Don't Neglect The Fixed Sunnah Prayers

Al-Hāfidh Ibn Rajab [رحمه الله] said:

The fixed Sunnah prayers are more virtuous than the night prayer according to the majority of the scholars.

Let Allāh Deal With Him Or Her

A man said to Abū Ad-Dardā': Tell me a statement by which Allāh will benefit me? He said:

Give your honor unto Allāh. So that whoever reviles you or curses you, leave him to Allāh [to deal with].

When hardship weighs heavily upon you, remember: every pain, every tear, and every trial will fade the moment you take your first step into Jannah.

Imām Ahmad رحمه الله was asked:

“When does true rest begin?”

He replied:

“When I place my first foot in Jannah.”

Who are the true believers?

They are those whose hearts are filled with awe when Allah is mentioned.

When His verses are recited to them, their faith grows stronger.

They place their complete trust and reliance upon their Lord.

They establish the prayer and spend in charity from the provisions Allah has blessed them with.

Sheikh Muhammad ibn Salih al-'Uthaymeen mentioned the following in his explanation of Riyadh al-Saliheen:

[مهما عملت من الأعمال الصالحة لا تعجب بعملك فعملك قليل بالنسبة لحق الله عليك ]

Whatever kind of good deeds you do, do not become amazed with your own actions,

for your deeds are quite small in comparison to Allah's right over you.

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:

“Whenever you make someone else happy, rest assured that happiness will come back to you in return, along with your reward from Allah, the Mighty and Majestic.”
