Real quick. I know that a lot of blogs that arenโt part of the RPC (roleplaying community), but still follow RP blogs, arenโt aware of our rules and etiquette. So hereโs a hopefully helpful post:
THINGS PERSONALS SHOULD NEVER DO:
Reblog our RP posts. Never, ever reblog RPs. Even if you like the writing or graphics or even if all you want to do is add extra comments. Just like it instead!
Reblog OOC posts. They are NOT meant to be shared unless stated otherwise.
Reblog headcanons unless stated otherwise. Our headcanons trademark our muses and make them our own. You wouldnโt steal OC designs someoneโs worked hard on, right? So donโt take unique interpretations that weโve poured our souls into and throw it out for the world to see / to take for their own. Thatโs not what we want!ย
Take an RP blogโs graphics. This involves icons, blog banners, and promo images for our blogs. Many of us work hard on our graphics; we hate to see them outright stolen.
THINGS PERSONALS ARE ENCOURAGED TO DO:
Read RPersโ rules if you can. Links are usually on their theme or mobile navigation (but not always). Mobile links are on the sliding bar at the top of mobile themes.
If you have trouble finding links on our theme, some of us useย imagesย as our links.ย Look for small images that look like they could be separate from the blog background.ย Hovering and moving images usually indicate links.
Sometimes if you click on a blogโs page and press CTRL + A, it will highlight all the text andย blocks of images that could signify page links!ย
If you hover over an image on the theme and it turns blurry, thatโs usually a link. Usually, a block of text will also appear and let you know what it is.
Check if posts are okay to reblog. Usually noted in the post or in the tags.
Check if posts sayย โpersonals do not reblogโ orย โpersonalsย do not interact.โ If the post does not want personal interaction, avoid liking / sharing.
Read our tags. Usually there are extra bits of information in the tags such as if itโs okay to reblog or not. Most RPers I know employ consistent tagging systems.
Lastly โ talk to us! Tell us if you like our blogs, send us asks about our muses / headcanons! Send anonymous shenanigans for our muses to respond to! Though most of us donโt do extended RP with personals, we love to know that you like what we do. If youโre inspired and are interested in starting your own blog, weโre usually down to help with that, too! Donโt be afraid to chat with us so long as you remain respectful!
